Every time he tried to do laundry in the past, she screamed at him for mixing colors or using the wrong setting.

Every time he tried to cook, she hovered over him, criticizing his chopping, his seasoning, and his cleaning.
She spent half a decade training him that her way was the only way and that his help was just 'interference.'
So that night? He wasn't being malicious; he was being obedient.
He washed only his clothes because he was terrified of ruining her 'delicates' and getting yelled at while she was already sick.
He ate alone because the last time she was ill, she snapped at him for bringing food she 'didn't have the stomach for.'
He was walking on eggshells, trying to give her space and peace.
Meanwhile, she was lying there, silently grading him on a test he didn't even know he was taking.
She divorced a faithful, hardworking man not because he was abusive, but because he wasn't a Psychic.
