Inspired by @benholmen pairing journey I've opened my calendar for anyone to pair program and/or chat about Laravel, running a business, having a family and life 💖
Looking forward to meet you:

The smarter women are, the more hostility they face.
In the U.S. & China, the higher women’s IQs, the less they're liked—and the more they’re undermined by coworkers. Men pay no price for being bright.
It's long past time to recognize female intellect as an asset, not a threat.
"You're Not Being Left Behind" — Ed Grosvenor's April talk on why your skills as a developer aren't becoming obsolete. They're growing in value.
"The one thing that will definitely survive is deep knowledge of what makes great software."

Protip about content consumption.
When you watch or read something negative like news or shocking video, it stays in your brain for MUCH longer than something positive.
So, consume 5-to-1 more positive things, to stay on the safe side.
If you have a talk that you'd like to give you can submit it here https://t.co/Tso9bSjMGW we'd love to hear from you if you've never given a talk before but would like to.
@laravellondon is a friendly vibe so we'd really love to help you get that first talk under your belt.
The biggest turning point in my indie journey (and probably my life) was when I realized that I had to actively look for customers instead of waiting for them to come to my “amazing” product.
I was building DevUtils back in 2020 and didn't really have a way to show it to more people. I was just waiting to get lucky and somehow the app will go viral. That didn't work.
You have to actively reach out to people to sell your product, in one way or another.
For me, I found a channel that worked well: building an audience on X in 2021-2025, but other people have found ways that work well for them: email marketing, SEO, cold outreach, paid ads, etc
Build a product, ship it, then find customers. Give it a serious attempt.
If the product doesn't work, move on and try new things!
Don't just wait to get lucky, build your own luck.
Laravel tip.
You're doing a lot ot "laravel new" for testing and hate answering wizard questions every time?
You can automate this.
Provide the flags and values upfront.
Example:
"laravel new project --livewire --database=sqlite --pest --npm --no-boost"
No questions asked.
I'm looking for work, so if you want an experienced devrel person/leader, if you need a technical educator, or if you want some consulting on how to help your devs work more effectively, ping me.
Is The New Laravel 13 Teams The Same As "Multi-Tenancy"? https://t.co/T1RDroNN0o
I saw this question a few times, so decided to write a blog post.
Yes, blogging in age of AI.
Some questions are just easier to explain in easy-to-digest TEXT form, with images generated by AI.
Career tip for dev juniors.
Companies now wanna hire SENIORS.
But you can't "jump" into being a senior quickly, right?
Alternative way: become a DOMAIN SPECIALIST.
Pick an industry:
FinTech / Healthcare / Logistics / Real Estate / E-commerce / etc.
Learn:
- How business makes money
- Regulations
- Real workflows
- Pain points AI can’t guess
AI can generate code.
It can’t deeply understand a niche market with context, constraints, and edge cases.
The dev who understands both Laravel and how insurance claims actually work?
That person will find a job EASILY.
Be a problem-solver in a specific industry.
And then, along the way, grow your technical skills towards senior level.
Fresh off the stage at @LaraconIN 🇮🇳, @freekmurze is heading to London for the @laravellondon March meetup.

Oh, and @DianaWebdev is bringing AI word embeddings to Laravel. Yes, really.

"Any team would be lucky to work with you, Simon."
I keep hearing this.
So, here's you chance! You can hire me by the hour, or by the day.
Design engineering, screencasting, studio setup coaching, video production...
One flat rate, for anything I do.

They say AI is the end for developers.
They say the job market is gone.
They say learning to code is pointless.
I don’t buy it.
I think we're just getting started.
🎤 @laravellondon Speakers Announced!
Right then, we've locked in our speakers for the next Laravel London meetup and I'm genuinely buzzing about this lineup.
Jim Seconde - "I'm Watching You"
Jim has been or is a data analyst, actor, API designer, lighting designer, DJ, stand up comedy academic and Laravel developer, not in that order. He wears a hot dog hat.
His talk? Logs, exceptions, monitoring — the stuff we all need but don't always get right. He's diving deep into Laravel Nightwatch with what he promises will include "a healthy dose of wacky antics." If you've seen Jim speak before, you know that's not an empty promise.
Emeka Oziri - "Writing Cleaner Laravel Code: A Beginner's Guide to Design Patterns"
Emeka is a Laravel developer passionate about building scalable, maintainable systems that make real-world impact. This one's perfect if you're looking to level up your code quality and get to grips with patterns that'll make your Laravel projects shine.
Two talks. Two completely different angles. Something for everyone.
So if you haven't got your ticket yet please please go grab yourself one -> https://t.co/t9g9v7D3ej
Open for projects.
Backend that doesn't wake you up at 3 AM.
