Hi HR,

I’d like to request an iPhone Duo for product design and testing purposes.

With Apple’s introduction of its new foldable form factor, I believe having the device internally is important for us to prototype and dogfood our trading applications on the platform from day one. In particular, I’d like to use it alongside TestFlight to rapidly test new experiences, identify interaction and layout issues, and understand how our products behave across the new form factor.

For a product like ours, this kind of hands-on testing is valuable beyond simply ensuring that the app “works.” It allows Design, Product, and Engineering to understand the device’s constraints and opportunities firsthand and build experiences that feel native to the platform.

I see this as part of how we maintain our product quality and stay ahead of the competition: we should be able to experience our products as our customers do, across the devices and form factors they are likely to adopt.

The goal is to make our applications fit hand in glove across devices, rather than treating new platforms as an afterthought.

liquid glass was my starting point for this close button, but I ran into a few accessibility challenges around visibility and contrast. I decided to explore goo instead because I wanted the interaction to feel a little more fun.

I’m still exploring, but here’s where it is now:
within 30px, it gently pulls toward the cursor.
on grab + drag, it stretches into goo.
on release, it snaps back with a spring.
hover directly on the close for 500ms and a “close” chip slides up.
clicking close triggers a subtle sfx.

been building my own photo dump app. the apps i used before had way too many features i never touched, i just wanted a clean photo grid without the distraction. so i built mine to be simple and straight to the point.

i also wanted to be able to post straight to socials without having to download the photo first or share a link, just pick and post directly.

you can organize by month or event, create folders, dump all your photos in one place, and search through them easily. just clean and organized, nothing extra.
