B-टीम का भारत में लंबा इतिहास रहा है. मुंबई में वामपंथी आंदोलन से निपटने के लिए इंदिरा गांधी ने शिवसेना को B-टीम बनाकर आगे किया.

पंजाब में अकालियों से लड़ने के लिए जरनैल सिंह भिंडरावाले का इस्तेमाल किया.

RSS कभी खुद आंदोलन नही करता. वो भी B-टीम बनाकर आगे करता है. 1949 में संविधान का विरोध करने के लिए RSS ने करपात्री महाराज को आगे, इस महाराज ने रामलीला मैदान में संविधान के खिलाफ बड़ा आंदोलन किया,

और डॉ बाबा साहेब अंबेडकर के खिलाफ अपमानजनक भाषा का प्रयोग कर अपमानित किया.

1990 के बाद मंडल कमीशन, OBC आरक्षण और बहुजन नेताओं ने राजनीति को प्रभावित किया.

RSS और BJP ने BSP और SP की राजनीतिक सामाजिक एकता को तोड़ा. बहुजन राजनीति को कमजोर करने के लिए. OBC SC ST नेताओं को छोटे छोटे दल बनाने में मदद की,

ताकि ये छोटे छोटे दल RJD BSP और SP का वोट काटकर कमजोर करें.

2019 का लोकसभा हारने के बाद RSS BJP ने पहले प्लान A : बाबा रामदेव को UPA-2 से लड़ने के लिए आगे किया. प्लान A फेल हो जाने के बाद प्लान B : अन्ना हजारे और अरविंद केजरीवाल को आगे किया.

अब बिहार में RJD का वोट काटने के लिए जनसुराज पार्टी के प्रशांत किशोर पांडे को आगे किया जा रहा है. अहंकारी केजरीवाल की तरह प्रशांत किशोर पांडेय भी RSS का छोटा रिचार्ज है.

Standup Comedy thrived in India post 2004. Dr. Manmohan Singh was the key because:

1. The generation and social class that benefited from liberalisation of the 90s grew up to be the voice of the confident new India - demanding accountability and seeing sense of humor as an essential trait of social discourse.

2. Another result of liberalisation - mobile internet became a reality for a huge section of the middle/upper middle classes, giving new, uncensored platforms for a new form of art/humor.

3. His government - like all governments - was flawed, creating enough relatable material to go viral. And they did push back - like introducing the draconian IT Act Sec 66A late in the day.

But unlike many other governments of past and future - MMS didn’t practice brutal censorship or punitive action against humour/satire. The entire social media opposed the IT Act or the various acts of alleged corruption/inefficiency without being labelled anti-national or getting r*pe threats.

The artists - not just professional standup comedians but big film stars also - felt safe sharing jokes about the govt policies/PM/ministers.

A sense of freedom is the biggest incentive artists crave for - and the MMS govt provided that above anything else.

He ended with these lines, “No power on earth can stop an idea whose time has come. I suggest to this august House that the emergence of India as a major economic power in the world happens to be one such idea.”
So much of the India you see around you is a product of that idea.
