मोदी सरकार द्वारा पिछले तीन वर्षों में 28 लाख से अधिक पेड़ काटने की मंजूरी दी गई: रिपोर्ट

जुलाई 2023 से मई 2026 के बीच 28 लाख से ज्यादा पेड़ों को काटने की मंजूरी दी गई या उन्हें कटा हुआ दर्ज किया गया। यह जानकारी ‘डाउन टू अर्थ’ की एक रिपोर्ट में सामने आई है।

रिपोर्ट में वन संरक्षणअधिनियम, 1980 के तहत बनी सलाहकार समिति की बैठक के मिनट्स का अध्ययन किया गया। 288 अलग-अलग वन क्षेत्रों को दूसरे कामों में बदलने के प्रस्तावों में से 242 से ज्यादा को मंजूरी दे दी गई। यानी 80% से अधिक मंजूरी दर रही।

कुल 22,000 हेक्टेयर से ज्यादा वन भूमि को गैर-वन कामों जैसे सड़क, फैक्ट्री आदि के लिए 27 अलग-अलग क्षेत्रों में दी गई। इनमें माइनिंग, हाइड्रोपावर और पुनर्वास परियोजनाओं के लिए ही करीब 90% पेड़ काटे गए या काटने की अनुमति दी गई।

The Year 1984: Hindutva terrorists, led by Alpha Chauhan, Bravo Pandey, and Charlie Agarwal, lay siege to the Babri Masjid, demanding a separate nation for upper castes called Generalistaan.

PM Mandira Jatav, advised by NSA Javed Murtaja, makes every diplomatic attempt, including pleas, reasoning, and negotiations, to convince the terrorists not to tear the country apart with their demands. However, nothing works.

Left with no choice, a helpless PM Jatav realizes she must send the Army into the Babri Masjid to eliminate the terrorists. But how can she do that when entering a religious place and opening fire risks deeply hurting the minority community? Recognizing this impossible dilemma, hundreds of Maulanas from across the country step forward in support of PM Jatav. They assure her that national security takes precedence over everything else and urge her to proceed.

In the aftermath, the extremist faction puts PM Jatav's name on their hit list. NSA Javed Murtaja warns the PM to remove upper-caste personnel from her security detail. However, PM Jatav, committed to treating everyone equally, refuses to engage in such discrimination. This principles-first stance proves fatal when two of her own security guards, Delta Rai and Echo Tyagi, gun her down.

A nation wept as its champion of equality fell to the very prejudice she refused to acknowledge. Yet, in the shadow of her sacrifice, the blood-stained walls of the masjid stood as a haunting monument to a unity that refused to be broken.

The 1978 Ranga-Billa case involved the brutal kidnapping and murder of teenage siblings Geeta and Sanjay Chopra in Delhi by career criminals Kuljeet Singh (Ranga) and Jasbir Singh (Billa).

The horrific crime shocked the nation, leading to a massive manhunt and the swift conviction of both killers, who were ultimately hanged in 1982.

The investigation was led by Inspector VP Gupta of the Delhi Police, with SI Ram Chander serving on the team. A bystander, who had tried to save the children, and later helped the police identify the killers by providing their descriptions was Babulal. The journalist who covered the case was Prabha Dutt.

Amazon Prime's series Raakh, which is based on this incident, replaces Inspector VP Gupta with SI Jayprakash Jatav, explicitly portrayed as a Dalit officer navigating institutional bias. Furthermore, SI Ram Chander is replaced by SI Javed Murtaza, Babulal by Saleem, and Prabha Dutt by Nisar, while a lazy hawaldar character named Mishra has been added to the narrative.

This isn't creative liberty. Creative liberty is meant to enhance a story, not distort historical facts to fit a specific ideological agenda. Another stark reminder of how easily history can be rewritten in plain sight under the convenient guise of creative freedom.

जब तक नेहरू जीवित थे, न तो विपक्ष में किसी का क़द उनके सामने राजनीति करने लायक़ था, और न ही कांग्रेस में कोई उनके खिलाफ जाने की हैसियत रखता था।

तब घोर रूढ़िवादी कांग्रेसी उन्हें कट्टर कम्युनिस्ट कहते थे, मुस्लिम लीगी उन्हें कट्टर हिंदुवादी कहते थे, सोशलिस्ट और कम्युनिस्ट उन्हें पूँजीपतियों का एजेंट कहते थे। महासभाई और संघी उन्हें मुस्लिम तुष्टिकर्ता कहते थे।

यह महासभाइयों का फैलाया हुआ झूठ ही है कि नेहरू ने अपनी आत्मकथा में लिखा है कि मैं शिक्षा से अंग्रेज, संस्कृति से मुस्लिम और केवल दुर्घटनावश हिन्दू हूँ, जो आज सच की तरह बिकता है।

नेहरू दुनिया के उन दुर्लभतम पिता-पुत्र द्वय में से एक हैं, जिन्होंने जब अपने महान पिता की पगड़ी अपने सिर पर बांधी तो उनके पिता की पहचान फुटनोट्स में समा गई। यह पंडित मोतीलाल नेहरू ही थे जिन्होंने लॉर्ड बिर्किनहेड की इस चुनौती का कि इंडियन इतने मैच्योर नहीं हैं कि स्वयं अपने शासन के लिए संविधान लिख सकें, प्रत्युत्तर नेहरू रिपोर्ट लिखकर दिया था, जिसे भारत का पहला लिखित संविधान माना जाता है। इसी रिपोर्ट में पहली बार भारत को एक आज़ाद देश के रूप में देखने की अवधारणा दी गई थी।

नेहरू शौक से कम्युनिस्ट नहीं थे, उस वक्त तीसरी दुनिया ही पूरी तरह से कम्युनिज़्म की चपेट में थी। यूरोप की तरह यहाँ दुनिया भर से लूटकर लाई गई संपदा नहीं थी और इन्हीं यूरोपियन्स से आबाद हुए अमेरिका जैसे विभिन्न पूंजी के स्रोत भी नहीं थे।

इनमें से ज़्यादातर देशों में पारंपरिक सामंती व्यवस्था थी। पूंजी के एकमात्र स्रोत भूमि पर असमान स्वामित्व था। भारत भी इससे अछूता नहीं था। कम्युनिज़्म जहाँ भी फैला, उसके लिए सबसे उर्वर भूमि यहाँ भी थी। बड़े संख्या में जमींदार थे , जो कि विभिन्न व्यवस्थाओं के दें थे। देशभर में बड़े ज़मींदारों से लेकर छोटी जोत के किसान भी स्वतंत्रता संग्राम में कांग्रेसी थे। कई जगहों पर ज़मींदारों ने स्वतंत्रता के लिए अपना सबकुछ लुटा दिया था। वे कांग्रेस से लेकर क्रांतिकारी संगठनों तक की फंडिंग करते थे। इनके योगदान को भुलाकर नेहरू इन्हें कम्युनिस्टों के हवाले नहीं छोड़ सकते थे, जो कल्चरल रेवोल्यूशन के नाम पर सबको मरवा दें और फिर बाद में जिनसे मरवाएँ उन्हें भी भूखे मरने के लिए छोड़ दें, जैसे माओ ने छोड़ दिया था।

नेहरू ने अपनी सूझबूझ से पहले तो कम्युनिस्टों को लोकतंत्र स्वीकारने पर मजबूर किया, फिर उनके सशस्त्र विद्रोह के ख्वाबों के एक-एक करके पर कुतरे। फिर उनकी जायज नीतिओं को स्वीकारा , भूमि सुधार लागू किया। पूंजी के नए स्रोतों का सृजन किया।
