My parents and entire family HATE the Indians migrants filling up Canada. Probably more than the migrants themselves because of how thoroughly they’ve damaged our reputation. Indian immigrants who were educated came largely from nice families, from the city, with manners, English skills and etiquette. These new migrants, defiling the beaches and groping women, come from illiterate, low class backgrounds and have no sense of civic duty nor are they capable of learning. Class systems are real. This is why the strongest right wing force in Canada comes from 80s and 90s Indian immigrants, ironically.

I have been a keen watcher of the quality of PTI supporters vs PMLN’s. I have observed it in social media and in my personal interactions.
There is a stark difference as is evident in the voting patterns.

PTI supporters fail to recognise any mistakes or failure of its policies. Even the appointment of Buzdar was defended with shameless zeal. Imran Khan is considered beyond mistakes despite his abysmal performance during 3.5 years.

PMLN followers are receptive to healthy criticism and are willing to accept mistakes. Whenever I post a tweet critical of PMLN, its followers recognise the merit and appreciate it.

In contrast even if a PTI leader is critical of Imran Khan, PTI supporters start abusing him immediately. May 9 was the litmus test when an attack on the state was portrayed as a heroic act.

In 2024 elections it is evident that PMLN voters made the leadership accountable for its failures especially during PDM term.

On the other hand PTI followers rewarded its leader despite his errors in the past. They even fail to recognise IK’s absolute surrender to the establishment when he remained its blue-eyed between 2018-2022.

Till such time our voter continue to reward bad performance and indulge in hero worship, Pakistan will not progress.
