A bus driver was brutally attacked. His accused attacker was released on bail and has now been arrested for allegedly assaulting a fire marshal.

Last night, Letitia James made clear that she continues to support the broken bail laws that she has championed for eight years, even though they have resulted in repeat offenders hurting innocent transit workers, first responders, and everyday New Yorkers. I have proposed a commonsense way to fix those broken bail laws that has bipartisan support and will stop New York’s revolving door of repeat offenders. This issue is one of the clearest differences between us.

Today, we have another example of why this issue cannot be ignored.

New Yorkers deserve an Attorney General who takes violent crime seriously, fights to keep dangerous repeat offenders off our streets, and puts public safety first.

We used to love Vegas. Now, it’s way too expensive on the Strip and way too sketchy downtown.

My first disenchanting moment was when a buddy and I sat down at a casino bar one night and ordered our typical drinks. Mine was a double Citron and water with a splash of 7. His was also a double shot.

This was more than 10 years ago, and it’s even worse now. That pricing is a temporary high. "We had our biggest night ever!"—and then customers never return after feeling like they got screwed.

They were $60 per drink—$30 per shot. One shot exceeded what I pay for an entire bottle at home. We paid, and I have never spent a dime in that casino again. Now, that type of pricing is everywhere.

They’re gouging and taking advantage of our sentimental love for what Vegas used to be. They probably saw brief profits, and now business is dropping. Duh. They made us fall out of love with the core product: the escapism of Vegas. It’s no longer an escape. It’s a trap.

This councilwoman and LACAN are part of the problem in Skid Row. They are fiercely anti-law enforcement and focus their efforts on protecting criminals who exploit the homeless. Under their watch, gangs and thugs run Skid Row, supplying the worst drugs imaginable, stealing money, and raping or killing anyone in their way.

Rather than working with LAPD to arrest drug dealers, LACAN advocates handing out millions of dollars’ worth of needles and crack pipes while harassing officers. We are proud of yesterday’s operation that charged 28 people with federal drug dealing and served more than 40 search warrants (all done professionally with judicial authorization). If the councilwoman disliked yesterday’s actions, she will be very displeased in the months ahead.

The latest data shows more than half of New Jersey third graders missed literacy standards, and most students are falling short in math.

Instead of fixing that, the head of the American Federation of Teachers went to an ICE facility to attack the officers enforcing our laws.

DHS says politicians demonizing ICE have helped fuel a more than 8,000% jump in threats against its officers.

Weingarten's job is supposed to be helping teachers educate kids, not running cover for people who broke our immigration laws.

Off-duty NYPD Detective Jose Mercedes was clearing out his trunk in the Bronx Friday afternoon when two guys tried to rob him.

They stabbed him seven times. He lived. Got out of the hospital Monday.

The two they just pulled out of a basement in Massachusetts are D’Angelo Caraballo and Sneider Mejia. Both from the Dominican Republic. Both here illegally. Both let in under Biden. Both already had records in New York.

DHS said sanctuary politicians refused to hand them to ICE, so they got released. Then they stabbed a cop.

Democrats in New York did this. Mamdani and Hochul won’t work with ICE, and a detective paid for it in blood.
