@tomwatson Uh yeah. The guy is a 78 year old, brain addled geriatric, who only ran for the world's hardest job again, in an attempt to stay out of prison.
@agordonreed There are many psychopaths in this country (And really, every country.). Fortunately, there are more sane, rational people than them, but we don't take elections as seriously as they do though. As if we'll be alright under any circumstances. This is delusional on our part.
@foxpublicenemy1@AndreaChalupa@gaslitnation Yeah, none of this says there were "bomb threats" everywhere, at all polling stations, on election day. Further, there is NO evidence that any of this actually stopped people from voting. So, what you're saying is complete, and utter, bullshit. You're welcome.
@AndreaChalupa@gaslitnation This can be explained with the understanding that the Democratic party has been attacked by foreign actors, the republican party, AND domestic oligarchs, here in GA, since 2021. Specifically attempting to turn off Black people to the idea that it has done anything for them
@lauramhartman@AndreaChalupa@gaslitnation@DNC@dccc@dscc "Silenced" how? You don't a clue as to what you're talking about. And I'm IN Georgia. There was no "silencing of grassroots volunteers" by the organizations you mentioned. That in no way explains the drop in Black voter participation from 2020. This is on the republicans.
@tbonier We can lampoon this all we want, but it is happening, & it is deadly serious. People aren't feeling it yet, and I hate that it has to be this way, but maybe, the orange man's efforts will be what is needed to force the majority to finally accept our responsibility to democracy.
@NEGROREPUBLIC@keithboykin So you're suggesting that "Democrats" should appoint unqualified, inexperienced, Black people to cabinet positions the next time there is a Democratic president? Aside from this being patently stupid, the Democrats made a Black woman VP, and their presidential nominee. Stupid.
@wilcherglobal@keithboykin Yes, but remember, this country, or at least the constitutional form of it, was created by white, "property" owning men, for them. Whatever rights Black people, and women, have garnered, have come only after a fight for them. "Power does not give of itself willingly."
@Fly_Sistah@keithboykin In the orange man's case specifically, I think he's past the point of believing he's "superior" to anyone, and I'm not sure he even capable of thinking that deeply about anything. Remember, the only reason he ran was to try to stay out prison.
@NurseSame @JohnathanPerk True. Still, there are far more of us, than there are of them. Them unfortunate part about it however, is that too many of the people of goodwill, sit out elections as if who is chosen to run our government, doesn't matter. Remember, 90 to 100 million eligible voters, didn't vote
