Elon just created 4,400 millionaires in a single day.
400 of them are now worth over $100 million.
These aren't VCs. They're SpaceX employees, and the list includes welders, technicians, and cafeteria staff, because for two decades the company paid every level of the workforce in stock instead of higher salaries.
Juan Hernandez immigrated from Mexico and took a $28 an hour contractor welding job in 2015. He says he didn't even know what SpaceX was. The company gave him a $10,000 equity grant and let him buy more shares through payroll deductions. That stake is now worth $880,000.
Trevor Hise's parents wanted him to take a stable job at General Electric. He picked SpaceX instead, stayed 12 years, and accumulated over 100,000 shares. At the $135 listing price that's $13.5 million. He's 37 and semiretired. His words: "The magnitude of this has been ridiculous."
The most telling detail came before the listing. Over 100 employees quietly banded together and negotiated a group wealth management deal covering up to $5 billion, because none of them had ever needed a wealth manager before.
Software IPOs have minted millionaires for 30 years. This is the first one where the money went to the factory floor.
Jeff Bezos reveals the simple phrase that saved him countless arguments running Amazon
"Disagree and commit is a really important principle that saves a lot of arguing"
"One of my direct reports would want to do something. I'd think it was a bad idea. We'd go back and forth and I'd often say, you know what, I don't think you're right, but I'm going to gamble with you"
"You're closer to the ground truth than I am. I've known you for 20 years, you have great judgment"
"At least then you've made a decision and I'm agreeing to commit to that decision. I'm not going to be second guessing it, sniping at it, or saying I told you so"
"I'm going to try actively to help make sure it works. That's a really important teammate behavior"
You know I actually agree, and for all my peeps who watched the streams watched me kill extract campers daily based on the routines I developed! Some of which even included you a few times! And it’s not like my gameplay slowed down at all, just gotta play like you are hunting extract campers and be prepared for them always there. So I agree with the StankRat
If you can't do this very simple sector clear on your way to Icebreaker, I have zero sympathy for when you get camped. Tactical fps; this ain't cod. For those that are new to Tarkov, you're gonna learn the hard way - nothing in Tarkov is free.
Kai Trump reveals what it’s like having Secret Service follow her everywhere
“They can’t stop anything, their sole purpose is to protect me. If other people are drinking around me and they’re underage or whatever, they can’t stop that person. All they can do, is if there’s a threat to me they’ll take me out of it”
“To be honest with you, it’s really awkward going on a date and they’re like two tables behind you, it’s a little weird but I try my best not to let it bother me”
“I’ve had to learn, yes they’re following me but also focus and pretend like they’re not there. For the first few months it was tough… it was not easy having someone follow you all the time”
“You have to plan everything, like if you’re going out, you can’t just leave but once I was like their only job is to protect me and I just focus on my stuff, it made it so much easier”
@AirwingMarine I remember complimenting him in DMs about his style of short content on TikTok, we became TikTok friends after that conversation. Knew he’d be a game changer from the first post I saw, then 3 years later he became who he is known to be now
New Sci-Fi FPS from the developer of Escape from Tarkov "COR3" announced
🔹Set on Mars in the year 2251
🔹You are a private investigator for “History Unfolded", a mysterious company with no identity
🔹They call you an "Executor" who is tasked with investigating the possibility of uncovering files related to experiments that started in year 2170
🔹Managed by a "Handler" named Aurora Strogova, not allowed to contact the "Hirer" or you'll be harmed
🔹Can hire additional help to assist you with the job
🔹There are major factions and companies in the game...SOYUZ, CORE, Terra Mater, Cult of Mars, Astrocorp, United Solar, etc
🔹Fossil Fuels replaced by NIC batteries, which in early days caused incidents and explosions equivalent to 1 ton of TNT - which was abused by radical terrorists
🔹Investigate events like a lost cargo freighter in deep space with bodies on it, weapons experiments, agricultural stations with advanced facilities, and a Sky Lift that detached from a planet
🔹New access terminal called CORIE players can access right now that provides a ton of information, daily decoding tasks, and also has restricted areas
The reveal ended up only being a cinematic trailer with no date or any real details. Cool looking Space Tarkov vibes located on Mars in the far future.
One thing I did catch is the Bogatyr tag on the space suit. This is the same named used in the Batya storyline in Tarkov.
Can we remove the delay that got added at some point this wipe when aiming in during a sprint? It really takes away from the gameplay and doesn’t seem like it was even intended to be added. Happened after the bug fix for the weird stutter stepping while sprinting @bstategames
I am giving away early access to the playtest of Beautiful Light for 10 PEOPLE. A PvPvPvE Escape Shooter where you can play as the good guys... or as the monsters
