Jai Fake news
There's a lot of debate on Karnataka, Bengaluru, Kannadiga, quota etc.
Trust me. Nothing will change.
Whenever politicians are cornered due to scam news, they divert attention to "bhavanatmaka" matters like language.
It is temporary. I am old enough to remember such things 🙂
Do you know why Bengaluru is a remarkably successful city? Let me tell you from my understanding as a Kannadiga, born and brought up in Bengaluru.
First of all.. definitely NOT because of politicians. Karnataka's politics is mediocre and you can hardly remember any stellar leader in 75 years. Maybe 2-3 good leaders. Bengaluru grew IN SPITE of politicians and not because of them. Ask anyone when was the last time the city had a competent Mayor or Chief Minister. So the business ecosystem is immune to politics, beyond some occasional controversy news headlines.
Bengaluru is successful because it was built by Kempe Gowda five centuries ago with a diverse and cosmopolitan vision. Even five centuries ago, the city had "petes" for different language and caste groups. Cosmopolitan nature is in its DNA. It has and will continue to attract talent from across India.
Bengaluru is successful because of abundant availability of skills. Bengaluru district has the HIGHEST number of colleges in India! Add to it the hundreds of institutes and research facilities. Where there is skilled manpower, there will be investment from across the world. A brand name is created. You name the industry, and there is talent available. Especially for ambitious startups, no better place than Koramangala and nearby areas. In many investment houses at a global scale, the Indian technology sector means Brand Bangalore! That's where discussions start.
Bengaluru is successful because of the amazing weather. Human beings LOVE pleasant weather. Even after all the traffic, crowding, water woes and other factors, no city in India can come even close to the year-round average temperature in the upper 20s. 12-38'C temperature range for the entire year is as ideal as you can find among any major cities in the world. Still has some attractive greenery. Low humidity. No cyclone wind or heat stroke dangers. Most earthquake-safe city too.
Bengaluru is successful because it is a magnet for incoming talent. In spite of all negative news, you will be surprised that more than 90% of the people who migrate to Bengaluru, NEVER leave! Thousands migrate inwards each week, especially young people. Friendly people (ignore some social media cribbing), abundant job opportunities, great entrepreneurial ecosystem, and relatively safe city. The temples, food, pubs, sports.. There is something for everyone. And let me not even get started with the geography advantage of beaches in three directions with a night drive, hundreds of waterfalls, mountain peaks and other nature options.
Bengaluru is successful because it has a very COMPLEMENTARY group of industries. On one side there is a long list of public sector industries. On the other side, thousands of private sector industries, especially the IT and BT sectors, including hundreds from the Fortune 500 list. Add to it, a conglomerate of healthcare, defence, manufacturing and space sectors. They all complement each other when it comes to the talent and innovation ecosystem. Where there is innovation, everything else is "adjusted" by people. There is a job for a 7th standard fail, and also for a double PhD. The variety of opportunities across sectors is unbeatable.
Yes. I live in Bengaluru. I know ALL the infrastructure shortcomings. I know all the political and activism ramblings. But what I have observed over the decades is that, the positives, brand and opportunities far outweigh the negatives and shortcomings.
So in the foreseeable future, there is NO stopping of Bengaluru. Yes some neighbours keep trying. Some locals keep fuelling. Some media will keep painting doomsday. But the immense kinetic energy that the city has, will keep propelling itself forward and also India's GDP.
Peace ✌️
This bill should be junked. It is discriminatory, regressive and against the constitution @Jairam_Ramesh is govt to certify who we are? This is a fascist bill as in Animal Farm, unbelievable that @INCIndia can come up with a bill like this- a govt officer will sit on recruitment committees of private sector? People have to take a language test?
Every third government employee in Kerala govt is either Muslim or Christian, state only employs 26 Yadavs, 28 Kshatriyas, 27 Jains, reveals data

Brahmin boy is beaten brutaIIy by the DaIits for not allowing them to cut the trees of Mangoes and Sheesham. He was also tied to a tree and then beaten with a stick and abused for his caste. Later, they threatened him with the SC-ST Act and demanded money from him. This is what happening in the villages of Uttar Pradesh. No media will show you these cases. An incident from Sonbhadra.
"If there were no Brahmins, We would have converted all Hindus into Christianity"
"It was due to resistance of Brahmins, We failed in India"
"In my entire life time I could covert only one Brahmin"
"Without destroying Brahmins We can't win Hindus"

The Vatican is behind systematic hate campaigning against Brahmins. Jesuits control entire media
