Hey @cityofkamloops give this a read. Your biggest taxpayers are fed up. Businesses close and so does your revenue. Time to quit surveys and discussion groups and get some action happening.
A new survey shows #Kamloops businesses shelled out $1.2M this year on theft, vandalism & safety concerns despite a drop in reporting. Business leaders say confidence in the justice system is fading — and reforms are overdue. https://t.co/7ZsAxxT8BC
While total pay to CUPE employees was up 11.5% last year, it was second to City Management pay which was up 13%.
Elsewhere, despite pay cuts imposed by council, #Kamloops Mayor Reid Hamer-Jackson still earned more in 2024 than he did in 2023. | STORY:

Nice! Perfect setup for the gateway to the north shore business district. Council does exactly as told again with no regard to who voted them in. Looking forward to next election. A brand new eight.
#Kamloops city council has voted to move Mayor Reid Hamer-Jackson's office from the main floor at City Hall to a lower level boardroom.
This action follows sanctions imposed earlier this year to cut his salary 10% and remove him as official spokesperson for the @cityofkamloops.
@MBernardoNews@cityofkamloops What a joke of a council and city staff. Fricking embarrassing that this council was voted by the people.Does council not remember knocking on doors with promises to who they work for?Back to kindergarten and continue your “politics” .
None will get my vote next time around.

Thank you @canadaposthelps for recognizing what a parcel box is! So much better than the look and throw! Let’s go all other couriers, take two more steps towards the door and find it too. @UPS@PurolatorHelp@FedExHelp
10mil to cross the road? If you’re too lazy to get to the crosswalk then you’re probably too lazy to take the stairs. Build a fence for less. Go to the crosswalk like a pedestrian should or take your chances. Blazer fans only use theirs when the trains are blocking.
Going to a @blazerhockey could be better. Seating is narrower than most people’s shoulder width.Ushers are there for what? “Fans”don’t have common courtesy. Wait till a stoppage in play to go up and down the aisles! I paid $30. to watch the game, not you walk in front of me.
