Marriage is not defined by age, however, you must be within the legal age to be legally qualified. There are ladies, aged 20 with the brain and composure of a 30-year-old woman, and there are also ladies, aged 30 with the brain of a 16-year-old girl and this is also applicable to men.
That being said, early marriage does not guarantee the success of your marriage but gives you an advantage to early childbearing and as such the couple can be 35-25 and their first child could be 12-10.
Meanwhile, late marriage also does not guarantee how successful your relationship would perhaps the general assumption here is that, the couple are grown and they should be able to cohabit maturely which is not entirely true.
Now, let's leave the aspect of age aside because anyone that meet the legal requirement can marry, let’s focus on what makes marriage work and those factors that can predictably prolong the life span of the marriage/relationship.
@basedandbougie@linmeitalks The NHS still has about 100k job vacancies as of today that are yet to be filled. Not to mention understaffed hospitals or ward. Maybe they can fill the roles.
Spot on, some of these claimants deliberately take fewer contractual hours in order to continue receiving benefits. At the end of the day, people who work a full-time role while receiving minimum wage still fund people who work fewer hours while receiving benefits
Can we stop this nonsense- apart from mothers with young children/carers or the disabled - the aim should be to work more hours- even get a second job and go up in your career or change careers so you don’t depend on the government for anything.
Everyday I was told “I don’t want to work more hours or I’ll have my benefits cut” what sort of pathetic mindset is that
People should be itching to no longer rely on government hand outs.
Some people think this man is smart?
I wish more people could calm down and see right through him; this is not what many Nigerians want. He also sounds dumb whenever he's cornered over the colossal failures of his government.
If you consider this to be a smart permit to tell you that he's not smart enough to manage a country. While I understand that many Nigerians want a change however, Obi is not the right person to bring about the change we desire.
Even if I had gone to the bank to borrow money but I didn’t spend the money, you cannot call it a debt I left— Peter Obi reacts to Gov. Soludo’s claim that he left $123m debt
Peter Obi has reacted to Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s claim that he left $123 million in debt when he handed over as governor of the state.
Obi argued that money approved as a loan should not automatically be regarded as debt if it was not actually drawn or spent.
“Even if I had gone to the bank to borrow money but I didn’t spend the money, you cannot call it a debt I left,” he said.
He explained further, “Assuming I had gone to the bank and said, ‘Bank A, borrow me 10 billion,’ and they gave me a loan of 10 billion naira, I only drew down 500 million. You cannot say I’m owing 10 billion, because you know the amount.”
“That’s why I said it is not proper public sector accounting. That’s why I showed the layers,” Obi added.
He also recalled the then Director-General of the Debt Management Office, Abraham Nwankwo, saying he served for 10 years.
According to Obi, “The day he left office, for his send-forth party, he invited me as the chairman and he announced to everybody at that party that the reason why he made me chairman is because I was the only governor in Nigeria who never came to his office for approval to borrow money.”
Love in Nigeria is commodify and sometimes it goes to the general public in the form of an auction. Depending on your taste in ladies.
The highest bidder wins the love race in Nigeria
The problem with this generation is its value system. What they are doing in Nigeria is not love.
They keep monetizing love and commitment, and asking men to go for only women they can afford, while constantly brokeshaming the poor and telling them they don't deserve love or relationship and should focus on making money.
As a consequence, you cannot regulate how many women a man who has hustled and made money can have. You have to be consistent. He can afford 30 women, so he would carry 30.
If you want to promote healthy relationship, you have to stop monetizing relationship and commitment. You cannot be selling commitment and asking to be the only client. It doesn't work that way. People are not stupid. The buyer knows you are for sale and he knows he can buy many of you. Innocent people are just the collateral damage of this value system. Everybody go collect
The problem is that this headline was not properly defined; those who came through visa categories like student visa, skilled worker visa, and founder visa are also classified as migrants. Meanwhile, those people don't have access to public funds.
This headline is misleading and biased, if we observed the data, we would not be surprised that such an amount was spend on migrant from boats, asylum seekers and EU settlement.
Completely unacceptable.
Come here as a migrant, but be completely self sufficient. They shouldn’t be able to receive social housing or any benefits until they have been a British citizen for 5 years plus and even then it should be capped to a maximum of 2 years in which they can receive benefits at any given time.
She breached the trust the moment she stepped out of the line, whether is out of desperation or not, I want to believe that everything that happened to her was premeditated, she cheated, maybe not once before the pregnancy.
She should own her decision and explain everything to her husband or probably move out without notice, that will save her from any explanation and the man won't suffer from raising a bastard. If she keeps it to herself, her expectations will come to pass when she eventually gives birth to a child that will look like her ex.
A 37 years old married woman is currently 6 weeks pregnant.
She has been married for more than 7 years without any child (I don't want to state the exact number of years).
She and her husband have both subjected themselves to several tests and they're fine.
They have both been very transparent with their individual results and have been "waiting on the lord" all these years.
However, now she's pregnant.
And the pregnancy is not for her husband but for one of her exes who is also married with his own kids.
The ex doesn't know that she is pregnant and her husband doesn't know that she's pregnant.
She desperately wants to become a mother and is ruling out abortion.
Her problem is how to break the news to her husband and she's hoping that the child will at least look more like her than her ex, so that there won't be any suspicions.
After reading, I had to swallow spit because this one is not what I would usually give any advise on.
She's 37 and needs a child. And she's banking on the fact that since her husband is medically fine, he will be happy that "God has finally answered their prayers".
And she's willing to take the secret to her grave. No one else knows this secret except me, her, God and devil.
AJD.
Happy for her, we are also happy for her to pack out.
She has gotten what she is looking for, and the expected sacrifice that comes with it. It will be so disappointing and painful for her to pin the pregnancy on her husband and the man later finds out he's not the biological father.
Let her go away from her marriage and tell the real father the truth. For every decision, there are consequences. No one is judging her, she made a decision and she should stand by it, desperation at the expense of her husband's sacrifice. She did it deliberately, everything is premeditated.
Reach out if you can, and more so, pay them a house visit, especially if both of you are in proximity to show your condolences. Falling out does not mean we should not sympathise with a grieving family.
Allow people to make their assumptions, whether you ignore them or not, the notions remain, but let your intention be clear, that might be the end of your fallout with the family.
You are not settling with people's expectations rather, you are settling with your mind and peace because if you don’t, that guilt will come back to taunt you for your insensitivity.
With all these points listed, there is no factor that can bring the price petrol to that stated amount.
With the event of what is currently happening globally, we can't go back to that errand.
When I said we should aspire to return to a Nigeria where $1 was around ₦200 and petrol was ₦87, I was NOT saying the government should simply defend the naira with scarce dollars or permanently subsidize petrol.
That is lazy thinking.
There are better and more sustainable ways to strengthen the naira and make energy affordable:
1. Industrialize Nigeria: produce more of what we consume and export more of what the world needs.
2. Fix electricity: businesses cannot be competitive when they spend fortunes generating their own power.
3. Attract foreign investment: create policies, security, infrastructure and certainty that make investors want to bring dollars into Nigeria.
4. Increase exports and diversify beyond crude oil: agriculture, manufacturing, solid minerals, technology and services can generate substantial foreign exchange.
5. Refine our crude locally: instead of exporting crude and importing expensive refined petroleum products.
6. Build infrastructure: good roads, rail, ports and logistics reduce the cost of producing and moving goods.
7. Create a stable business environment: predictable taxes, regulations and monetary policies encourage both local and foreign investors.
8. Invest in human capital and technology: a productive, skilled population creates higher-value goods and services that can compete globally.
The point is simple:
A strong currency should be the RESULT of a strong and productive economy, not something sustained artificially by government intervention.
And affordable petrol should come from efficient refining, increased domestic production, competition and lower operating costs, not necessarily from endlessly spending public money on subsidies.
So no, I am not advocating economic shortcuts.
I am saying we should build an economy that naturally makes the naira stronger and the cost of living lower.
If this came from a presidential aspirant, I could understand why the current president would win the election in January.
How would you ask such a question? What is the correlation between oil revenue and the current price?
Oil is a global product, and the price is also determined in the global market. Yes, Nigeria generates more revenue by selling its product due to the price increase in the global market; however, people who buy from Nigeria, whether within Nigeria or outside Nigeria, buy based on the global price, and when they convert the price, it will be in the normal currency equivalent.
The consumer will bear the final cost, almost all the countries around the world are complaining about the rising cost of gas or petrol.
The money that was never available in the first place, subsidy money was a loan, it was borrowed and everyone knew it was not sustainable in the long run.
Bringing back subsidies means that you want to borrow to subsidise fuel for Ghana, Benin, Chad Cameroon and Niger.
That being said, Obi is not economically sound, the more you press him with a single question the more confused he would be, Obi is a people pleaser and such a person with that mentality can't run a country like Nigeria

Your assertion might be right but in this instance, they stayed together and they refer to each other as husband and wife, one of the way to promote intimacy in a relationship is through sexual intercourse which was absent in this case.
The relationship should not have happened in the first place and the man is sexually starved because there is a degree of possibility that the guy is sexually active. The lady was selfish and she should allow the guy to move on with his life while using God and the Bible to cage him.
God didn't say you should sexually starve your husband. They both look older because they lack sexicise.
@TheOtherSideRu He needs a knock on his head to come back to reality…. He's sleeping and obscured from the reality of what Russia is capable of doing and what the media is selling to the people.
I believe you know what you're doing and this is why you need not to play politics with economic discussions that are fact-based with data to back them up.
I understand that you have recent show your interest in politics but sending out the wrong message and deceiving people from economy reality by shifting blame won't work.
You need to be open and truthful about certain discussions, this will not only help you but will set you apart for being able to separate sentiment from fact.
Layman.
We have our own crude oil in Nigeria here. We have refinery in Lekki here.
Yet fuel price is increased for the common man and blamed on Strait of Homuz in faraway Iran
Is governance really that much of rocket science?
This is why self-awareness and environmental sensitivity go together.
Self-awareness gives you notice, keep you in a spot but being environmentally sensitive keeps you safe by knowing where you ought to be at any given time and how you can prevent yourself from external forces.
