Good ride yesterday at peaslake.
Very much keeping to firetracks and fairly basic trails at the moment…. But fab fun to be back out on the ebike :)
New meds have helped with leg control & standing etc. But shoulders & neck strength is low.
Excited for summer rebuilding :)
Yesterdays ebike adventure was really encouraging
We’re 5 months or so into the new nerve & seizure meds. My body is changing… some things are harder… most are easier
Focus now is engineering the tools I need for the life I want.
Tired & sore today.,, with a massive smile :)
I had a heap of fun exploring the local trails today. First proper solo ride of the year. Much mud and smiles :)
Exciting for lots of riding this summer. Wet or dry I’m excited to be out and enjoying myself :)
Starting the process of getting the trike back on the road for some winter adventures :)
My mobility is going to drop for a bit due to new meds. I’m hoping to get out for a few rides a month to keep my brain going
If meds work maybe I can ride a wider range of bikes in 2023 :)
Haven’t been riding much recently. Crazy busy with work & health stuff.
Doctors are starting me on some new meds. I’ll be off the bike a while, but all going well, sometime next year I’ll be in far less pain & much less wobbly
Hopefully lots of trike riding soon :)
The ebike + short distance with stick combo is really effective, but limited by places I can use it.
I’d love for this sort of change near me. The lack of safe cycle routes + secure bike parking is a big barrier.
A but more infrastructure would be life changing.
The most important thing about this amazing Paris transformation is how fast it happened — how fast people on bikes “appeared” — once streets were transformed. You can’t write this off as “Paris was always this way,” because it wasn’t.
It took leadership.
Kinda fallen in love with cycle commuting again. The worlds feels much bigger!
The little Halfords ebike is enabling all sorts of small adventures to the local cafes & stuff
After 3 years stuck indoors, i can now go anywhere within about 20m of a safe place to park the bike.
Forgot to get a photo, but made it out on the Levo yesterday for an adventure around Epping forest.
Was good fun. Hoping to get out to the Surry Hills in a few weeks :)
The first few rides with the Hope Tech 4 V4 on the front of the eeb have been super encouraging.
Much lighter lever and way less hand strain. Feeling way more in control of the bike :)
Have had a tricky month with my body & energy. Hoping for more riding in the next few months!
Woo. Lots of help from @ratheruseful today and we have the new brake on the Levo.
We used the ‘needle driver’ to assemble the hoses and then bled it using a test stand. It’s bolted on the Levo now ready for setup tomorrow :)
Excited to try it in the morning!
@wiggy_mark Sounds daft… but what is the right tool for these? I’m wondering if my hose cutters are too blunt & crushed it too much
I had 3 attempts & just couldn’t get the insert in. Even after trying to open it up with a alan key + gentle hammer it.
It didn’t seem this hard last time!
I like that the new hope brakes come with full length hoses so either brake fits either end. Less options to stock :)
However, trimming the hose can be a pain. Getting the insert into the braided hose defeated me today. Bad hands etc :(
Giving up for the day! Try another day!
