This afternoon, I had the privilege of participating as a panelist at the Jigawa State Economic and Investment Summit, where I spoke on “Harnessing Alternative Energy Potential for Sustainable Development” and the role of clean energy in driving inclusive economic growth and climate resilience.
I highlighted the mandate of the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN) in promoting sustainable energy development and emphasised Jigawa State’s vast solar and biomass resources, which present significant opportunities for clean energy investment, expanded energy access, and sustainable economic development.
The summit brought together the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, H.E. Senator @KashimSM, GCON; the Governor of Jigawa State H.E. @uanamadi FCA; the Honourable Minister of State for Education, Professor Suwaiba Sa’id Ahmad; Honourable Ministers; development partners; investors; and business leaders to advance practical solutions for Nigeria’s economic transformation.
The discussions reaffirmed that sustainable development depends on strategic partnerships, targeted investments, and reliable energy. The ECN remains committed to advancing sustainable energy, strengthening energy security, and accelerating Nigeria’s clean energy transition.
I commend the Jigawa State Government for this visionary initiative and its commitment to creating a lasting impact.

FEC APPROVES ALPHANUMERIC DIGITAL POSTCODE SYSTEM FOR NIGERIA
As part of our continued delivery on the targets and priorities set out in the @FMCIDENigeria Strategic Blueprint, I am pleased to announce that the Federal Executive Council under the leadership of H.E. President @officialABAT, GCFR has today approved the implementation of a GIS-enabled Alphanumeric Digital Postcode System for Nigeria.
Working in collaboration with @PMG_NIPOST Tola Odeyemi and her team at @NipostNgn, who worked hard on delivering this, we will introduce a modern, geospatial intelligent addressing system that improves accuracy across the country and enables faster and more reliable mail and parcel processing.
Beyond strengthening postal operations, the Digital Postcode System will also serve as an important national enabler supporting better national planning, improved emergency response, more efficient logistics and e-commerce, and the delivery of government services.
As our digital economy continues to grow, foundational systems such as this play an essential role in building the infrastructure required to connect people, businesses, and services more efficiently across the country.
This approval represents another step forward in our commitment to building the enabling environment to support a modern, inclusive, and globally competitive digital economy.

The courier company @shoptemu@temu_africa@UK_temu is using in Nigeria is doing a terrible job, I ordered for a package and the lady called me to pick it up at another location, after I paid for delivery fee, she refused to bring it to my location.
It is a great honour to be conferred with the Distinguished Energy Leadership Excellence Award by the Chartered Institute of Information and Strategy Management (CIISM), today at the Commission’s headquarters. Additionally, I was also inducted as a Fellow of the Institute.
I used the opportunity to brief the CIISM delegation, led by its Registrar, Dr. Adelanke Peter Oyintoke, on the Renewed Hope Renewable Energy Transition Programmes being championed by the Commission, as well as the strategic importance of the National Energy Master Plan to Nigeria’s energy future.
I profoundly thank the Institute for this great honour, which is based on our outstanding achievements within the Nigerian energy sector and beyond. One of the creeds I hold dearly is that to whom much is given, much is expected. This recognition further motivates me to intensify efforts and do more.

It is a privilege to have understudied President Muhammadu #Buhari like every other Nigerian President since 1999.
He is indeed, one of Nigeria's finest personality.
May Allah forgive his inadequacies and grant his gentle soul Aljanatul Firdausi. Ameen!

From crafting national energy strategies to driving hard to the hoop, this outing reminded us that leadership thrives on action and momentum.
As head of Nigeria’s apex energy regulatory commission, I believe energy must be lived, not just managed. Whether in policy rooms or on the basketball court, the same principles apply: focus, discipline, teamwork, and vision.
This moment on the court wasn’t just sport; it embodied the Renewed Hope spirit, showing that true energy is lived, felt, and expressed in every move.

After years of neglect of educational infrastructure across the state pre 2016, the immediate past administration and the current administration of His Excellency Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo made education the number one priority for the state. The days of bursaries are back. All examinations both internal and external are free up to the secondary school level. The Education Bill has been signed into law.
But beyond this, the State Government is gradually phasing out dilapidated schools from the State. The GYB Model Schools across the state are testaments to this commitment. From Lokoja to Dekina and Idah and to Kogi Central and Okebukun, Kogi's schools are wearing a new look. Not all have been remodelled, but none will be left behind. We are not going beyond the UNESCO benchmark on the educational budget for nothing.
Our schools will remain our pride.
Below is the ongoing reconstruction project of the Government Technical College, Obroroke in Ihima Local Government Area.
We are not against those showing us the ones yet to be remodelled. We will get there. They didn't remind those who did nothing about our schools for years. That they are reminding us now shows their faith in the revolution happening to our schools across the state. Thanks for reminding us.
Together, we will make Kogi better.
