@phase5digitalpr Mick Tinkers BoXeR motherboard was a victim for the price/transistors in the FPGAs in the board that was going to replace the Amiga chipset in that board just as an example.

@phase5digitalpr The problem back in the 90:s was that the "huge" FPGA chipset which could be used for real replacement for other logics was way to expensive and also the amount of transistor gates was not in the near amount as it is today.
