1. Major victory in Florida. A federal judge has ruled that a transgender teacher cannot be forced to go by "Mr." as required by a new state law.

The scathing ruling was issued on 1st Amendment grounds.

Things at my work have been chill and we've never had issues. But recently a number of transphobic coworkers have burnt through the sympathy of even the most forgiving of my trans friends at work.

@DaddySnowKitty I've got a few plushies from when I was a kid, and I've got one blankie (it's still massive but back then I could get lost under it).

The pressure to grow up means I lost some of the really special things though, and I'm still hunting for matching plushies to make up for it.

At this point I've bought a few similar "vintage" plushes off ebay in the hopes that I found the right one. Still haven't yet.

Every few months I try again.
It still hurts to think about the loss. It wasn't just a "childish" thing but I was still pressured to "grow out of it."

Beyond just a comfort item. Ironically, I got it for being "mature" because it was a posthumous gift from my great-great-gramma. Other kids were overwhelming so when we visited I always stayed inside & talked with her.

And I treasured that plushie for years until I got to an are where I was expected to give up toys. There was just so much pressure.

I gave it to a younger sibling and I don't know what happened to it. I've looked so many times I've lost count.
Spent hours digging through boxes.
