@stevehou So few people actually realize this and comprehend this. It’s being entirely overlooked. But those that have been watching Intel closely have been talking about it’s packaging strengths for a couple years at least. It’s refreshing to see everyone wake up and realize it.
And if you’ve been following, you would have seen exactly how, each of those are fitting into the fabric of the company, tied to Intel’s future plans. It’s exciting to watch LBT reshape Intel for IFS prime time. Pat built nodes and did great. LBT gets to stand on the shoulders of a giant and lead it into battle.
@davey_juice It’s an interesting play that I’ve considered. But I see more upside elsewhere and don’t want to get caught up in a hope for things to change. Some LEAPS though… maybe.
Bingo. But don’t forget other physical AI companies. This market segment is going to explode in the not too distant future. Couple that with way more ASIC and SOC demand, not just from the MAG7, but likely even with nation states in the future. I think the market is seriously miscalculating the demand. Granted, this will surface over much time. But we’ve already entered the acceleration phase with AI now, so 🤷♂️
@treasureh8nter Past tense is doing a LOT of heavy lifting here bud. Yes, Samsung has been in the game for a long time. Intel also has worked with clients for decades, just not as an IDM. Nonetheless, Intel invented this market and has deep expertise.
@chyang888@PatrickMoorhead IFS is the thesis. Everyone realize x86 isn’t the pony. That said, x86 IP can be invaluable to clients looking to have Intel, design, fab and package the entire thing. They’ll also have ZAM soon - so basically everything needed.
Agreed. He owes the US a lot for his success.
I also understand your angle in this whole situation, being Chinese - fascinating.
Obviously Huang increasing ties to Taiwan pulls the US into protecting the island more. That’s not in China’s interest, or the US, frankly. So, we both agree there.
