Hey there, Welcome!π₯
I'm Beck, a solopreneur
I'm working on building a bootstrapped profitable SaaS business
I share mistakes I've made, products I'm enjoying, and insights I've gained (#buildinpublic)
Let's chat! I'm constantly on the hunt for cool story
I recently learnt a new thing: find more best practices and think less. Technically, 80% of these best practices can be found from your competitors which does not require a person to come up from scratch
Been away for a few weeks. Was working on the new ecommerce project, which is a business I have always wanted to start (select good product and sell to people). Will share my thoughts with everyone once I have made some progress
20%? I compare indie hacking business with opening a local restaurant. And I guess based on the observations I found around where I live. Like 2 out of 10 restaurants can survive lol. And usually those 2 restaurants can last for a very long time; but rest of those restaurants may transfer ownership to different people repeatedly
Trust your gut, but don't act impulsively
I used to try to not to believe in my gut. However, after so many years, I find that is a biggest mistake that I have ever made
Now, before making any decision, I make sure to gather all the relevant information. Once I believe there is no more information I can find out there. I tend to trust my gut and make the final call
A friend told me an approach to make users feel engaged: They implemented a feature requests board. Users can give likes to various feature requests and in the end, enabling them to prioritize the most popular ones
Even if their own requests aren't chosen, users can still feel satisfied knowing that the features they helped elevate have been implemented. This way, users can have a strong sense of participation
@theosementa@browsercompany Hahaha, I have organized my email accounts by creating separate spaces for work and personal, and pinned those email address accordingly
