Can't stop thinking about Elon Musk, the wealthiest man alive worth $828 billion, spending $290 million to elect Trump, becoming $563 billion richer since Trump was elected and ending humanitarian aid that will lead to the deaths of 4.5 million of the poorest kids on the planet.
@HuffPost In Japan there is a huge financial penalty if your loved one jumps in front of a train. And it is a successful deterrent. There should be a penalty to the man’s extended family for family annihilation. It seems absurd and unjust but this is becoming a constant occurrence.

@JoyceCarolOates Was he clever or perhaps just cunning and stoic? He appeared to have broad curiosity but some of the medical info (Klinefelter syndrome) emerging suggests he had an intellectual disability. In the few clips I have seen of him speaking, his lack of verbal acuity is surprising.
@JoyceCarolOates Picked up Zombie and read it without knowing anything about it. Was it good? Increadible. Will I ever blindly wander into a first person book again? Not a fucking chance.
@spaceghostRL@BillRocque@SAMMYverse@morninggloria Even if she did (which she did not), the penalty for hitting a police officer w/your car at 3miles an hour is not summary execution. There is no way to justify lethal force even if this was a suspect fleeing arrest. This woman was a bystander calmly communicating she is leaving.
I have successfully left the US -- for reasons identical to those specified by Jason Stanley and other fascism experts, who also fled. A close friend of mine, a professor, also recently left for Canada. I do not have many good things to say about the US right now.
