The lack of concern for aesthetics, for one. The utter abandonment of the mythos and pantheon themeing of all past games in favor of distinctly non-mythic actual Dungeons and Dragons themes instead, for another.

The main point of concern is the lack of appeal or consultation towards the past fans that are the primary audience (read: paying customers) of the triple-digit million dollar francise. This should be considered egregious, and worthy of a shareholder vote to change C-suite execs at Sony under emergency duress.

It has literally nothing to do with replacing a character or playing as a woman and everything to do with disrespecting the ones that are meant to pay for the whole mess.
