Six months ago, my brother and I started our journey as indie game developers. I’m the animator, and he’s a software consultant turned game programmer.

Cluster Arrows vs. Testudo is literally the worst match-up possible.
Firing Cluster Arrows at a Testudo formation is like throwing gravel at a roof. Swap to armor-piercing, flank the side, or save your ammo. Stop giving the Legion target practice. 🎯

@DogWeaste yes thanks, we will announce it here when we go live. 👍

@trillionjohns Awesome thanks !!

[OozyEssence @OozyEssence]

@DogWeaste Bad North was definitely a huge inspiration! The twist here? Pure archer tactics. Every battle is a spatial puzzle where split-second volley timing and spacing determine if your line holds or gets overrun

[OozyEssence @OozyEssence]

@trillionjohns Huge compliment! We loved Bad North's clean style! Our twist is focused on archer tactics—managing volley timing, spacing, and micro-positioning to take down massive armies before they reach your line

[OozyEssence @OozyEssence]

@FortL221 Thanks we are going indeed for some tactical action game here.

[OozyEssence @OozyEssence]

@HMontesjr2012 We are working on a demo soon. follow us for update soon

[OozyEssence @OozyEssence]

@Unity_Hitman What if the outside rows and columns lower their shield? 🥲

[OozyEssence @OozyEssence]

@cuentaanonima74 Thanks alot, much appreciated ✌️

[OozyEssence @OozyEssence]

#TrailerTuesday!
Legend of the BowRats WIP in Godot. isometric squadbased action game. where formation combos play a big role.

[OozyEssence @OozyEssence]

@BulsarGames The question is, what will happen when we shoot them with explosive arrows... 🤪

[OozyEssence @OozyEssence]

@LakiStudios Awesome, so the ship is modular, being able to interchange parts?

[OozyEssence @OozyEssence]

@Hefeisdion Yeah where thinking maybe the movement should be slowed down when under arrow barrage ?

[OozyEssence @OozyEssence]

Is a shielded Roman Testudo vs. a FULL army of archers even fair? 🏹🛡️

Sure, thousands of arrows bouncing off interlocked shields looks incredible…

Realism or total unfair advantage? What do you think?

[OozyEssence @OozyEssence]

@MixedMoonGames No, it’s not an RTS in the classic sense. It’s more of a mix between Cannon Fodder and strategy elements.

[OozyEssence @OozyEssence]

@Kikinikotan Thanks appreciated😄

[OozyEssence @OozyEssence]

@sneakergamesdev hah True, but if the archers them self is the only help they have :D

[OozyEssence @OozyEssence]

@gkingofboston Looks interesting , what kinda art assets you will be using for this?

[OozyEssence @OozyEssence]

@gkingofboston Ha yeah thanks for that feedback, good point.
We have a plan to add a peak boo / wack the mole mechanic with the schielded Weasels. once the animation is done for those ill do a post

[OozyEssence @OozyEssence]

@gkingofboston Yeah indeed also the mobility will be low , when turning around etc...

[OozyEssence @OozyEssence]

@gkingofboston I can try to add schield down version for the front soldiers. but the archers dont shoot straight in our game. they are always lobbing ad the moment

[OozyEssence @OozyEssence]

@WisedeerStudia We're focusing on exploiting their mobility and a peake boo mechanic. will show it when the animation is ready for it
