This is a test for MAGA types and the populist right to see whether they allow themselves to be lied to flagrantly by elites trying to manipulate them.
The CFPB put out a legitimately good rule that went after banks over debanking users based on political views. Yes, a populist left wing CFPB head stood up for the rights of conservatives.
Now VCs and Musk who don’t like the CFPB for other reasons are straight up lying to whip people into a frenzy and defang the CFPB.
The message: they think you are stupid and can’t read and are going to make your life worse in order to enrich themselves.
so much of adulthood is just grieving in secret. grieving ex lovers, grieving dead friendships, grieving your parents sinking into old age, grieving the person you thought you'd grow into. grieving cities you never got to live in. grieving parts of you that couldn't survive.
Remember, in 2022, the Democratic-majority House passed a bill to fight price gouging on gas.
EVERY single Republican in the House voted no.
They had a chance to help us with higher prices and inflation — and they ALL voted no.
This is what I mean. People genuinely just don’t like women. She’s doing her job extremely well and here comes some bitch who doesn’t even do music just complaining about her existing at work.
As many will be enjoying sweet potatoes next week during Thanksgiving dinner, don't forget to give thanks to the people that work hard to bring that food from farm to table. A machine could never replace these people.
So, Arcane s2 is a visual masterpiece, the industry will be pouring over it for years and years. But it's a sobering thought the business side severely interfered with the show I love.
With the writing as it is I'm unsure another act is enough, this clearly needed another season
What I think the story of Arcane season 2 kinda got away from was, this was supposed to be the story of two sisters - and secondarily two cities as reflected in their conflicts.
Going far beyond the scope of that diluted this focus.
Not saying I didn't want caitvi, I super did, but that shouldn't be the only thing she has going for her. Season two was so close to incredible, that it falling short just hurts so fucking bad. Vi was my favorite & matters so much to me, and she was neglected by the narrative.
Vi didn't have a single scene alone with Vander this season... what the fuck was that. She never won anything, never did anything right. She lost everything and everyone, but oh, it's fine cause she still has Cait? How is this a satisfying end for her character? #ArcaneSpoilers
