Bittersweet, but today is my last day as Crime Prevention Specialist for the #OmahaPolice NW Precinct.
Thanks to everyone who interacted with the crime prevention tips, community events, and general happenings at the NW Precinct that I posted!
Nebraska roads claimed 251 lives in 2024. Impaired driving plays a major role in these. Don’t become a statistic – designate a sober driver or call a ride.

With the click of a button, Omaha police can view footage from more than a thousand cameras. The Omaha Police Department’s Real-time Operations Center is an example of new tech that’s drastically changed how the department operates.

One year ago today, the State of Nebraska suffered a tragedy when we lost Trooper Kyle McAcy in the line of duty.
You can ask anyone and they’ll tell you that Kyle was a very special person who loved his family, his job, and his community.
Never forgotten, 302! 🚔
I was fortunate to become friends with Kyle after I participated in the @NEStatePatrol's Jr. Law Cadet program in 2017. Kyle was always so knowledgeable and was willing to answer questions about law enforcement. I am grateful for his friendship.
Rest in Peace, 302.
The DCSO is looking for the public 's assistance in locating the individual in this video who was hit by a vehicle at the side show the CAT Team stopped last night in the area of 135th and F Street. The vehicle that hit her was an Orange Camaro, we do have the plates and owner's information but will be withholding that to allow them the opportunity to come forward.
These sideshow events are not just 'kids' out 'having fun'. They are illegal, and they are dangerous, often involving drugs, weapons, and alcohol, not to mention the reckless driving behaviors. The CAT Team will continue to monitor and stop them whenever and wherever they spring up.
If you have any information that can help identify the individual who was hit, please contact us at either [email protected] or 402-444-6000. You can also contact @Crime at 402-444-7867 or via the P3Tips mobile app.
Sometimes young love can take a turn for the worse. Tens of thousands of teenagers became crime victims at the hands of their current or former significant other in 2024 alone. The dangers are real. Ahead of this Valentine’s Day, the #FBI broke down the offenses reported to the Uniform Crime Reporting Program. Make sure the teenagers you love are aware of this reality. Learn more on the FBI's Crime Data Explorer at https://t.co/YRT0DXt9i0.
Applications are still open for the position of Crime Prevention Specialist. If you or someone you know would be a good fit, please visit the link below to learn more and apply! 🚔🏘️
