@PhilIitalian Interesting subject. I presume the fungus type can say whether this phenomenon is fertilizer related or spore transmission related. The fungi were scattered between the west side of a dune mound and the edge of the golf course so on the more exposed side.
Golf courses were accessible during lockdown so I explored a local one yesterday before lockdown finished and found 26spp of bryophyte plus: Tulostoma brumale, Geoglossum cookeanum and an Entoloma which I think will eventually key to Entoloma sericeum.
@VanJisca Yes wellies essential where I was. I noticed in lots of photos that trentepohlia was present so looked at branches that had trentepohlia and bingo.
@Marchantia From what I can see I'm leaning towards Isothecium myosuroides. Check to see if the branch leaves are narrower and more parallel-sided than the stem leaves.
