Court of Appeal rules Ofsted inspector sacked for brushing water off child’s head was unfairly dismissed.
In a unanimous judgment, the judges said it was “deeply regrettable” the “experienced inspector with an unblemished record on safeguarding issues” had been sacked unjustifiably.

More than 7 in 10 senior leaders reported TAs leaving their school because they can earn more in another job, in a new report from the National Foundation for Educational Research.
Reform of support staff pay is urgently needed.
A shocking new report finds the majority of heads (82%) say some of their TAs are taking second jobs to boost their income during the cost of living crisis, while 70% report TAs are quitting outright in favour of better paid jobs in shops or hospitality.
