We're permanently closing the Bali facility on Oct 31st, 2020. Laws were changed in Indonesia during 2019, removing the possibility for us to ever collect data (which was the primary reason for opening). After considering alternative uses of the space we've opted on closing. 1/2

Dr. Jon Tennant was a brilliant meta-scientist who traveled the world giving enthusiastic & courageous talks on #openaccess. His premature passing in April, at age 31, makes us remember also another OA enthusiast: #aaronschwartz. Let's continue their work. #OAWeek2020 #OAWeek

I am deeply sad to announce that at 1am today Jon was reported to have been in a motorbike accident in Bali and has tragically died. We are so sad to loose someone so special to us. Thank you to everyone who has been a good friend to him, we will miss him terribly
