With tremendous gratitude to #ProjectCatalyst and after years of building, we have submitted our close-out video for PubWeave.
Is this the end for the project? Far from it.
Our future steps are enumerated right after the demo. 👇

When building PubWeave, we prioritized launching its blog creation feature. Apart from the excitement of showcasing our hard work, our goal was to attract people to PubWeave by growing our blog series, 'Open Science Blogs', with its companion twitter/X account: @OpenScienceBlog.
@hubermanlab@Stanford@StanfordMed Some individuals might be genetically predisposed to psychotic events accelerated/induced by THC.
Understanding the factors that make certain individuals more psychologically sensitive to THC than others would be dramatically helpful!
Did you know that the Persian scholar of medicine, Ibn Sina (980-1037) suspected some diseases were spread by microorganisms.
To prevent human-to-human contamination, he came up with a method of isolating people for 40 days.
A thread on Ibn Sina & his impact on modern science…
Cannabis, also known as marijuana or weed, comes from the cannabis plant and has been used throughout history with some of the earliest records of its use as a fibre in Japan dating back to 8,000 BC.
Some are skeptical of novel pharmacological breakthroughs, as they should be.
But you should not let your skepticism become paralysis.
Do your own research, and you might find that ‘too good to be true’ solutions might actually work!
We need scientists who can effectively communicate science to a big audience.
Writing hit pieces on them with dubious anecdotal evidence does not help.
@hubermanlab does a great job at explaining complex neuroscience to everyday people, and we need more of it.
‼️Science has a huge problem‼️
Cutting edge research is published in scientific journals, yet gaining access to this knowledge is:
1. 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗹𝘆 (access requires payment).
2. 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 (written for experts).
This is unacceptable. So what can we do?

@autumnpard For one you have @arxiv/@biorxivpreprint making preprint publishing a thing, a push for funders mandating preprints (Plan U), @eLife making reviewing optional and requiring preprints.
And (shamless plug), the work we’re doing with @PubWeave!
@danny_cryptofay Traceability of funding for institutions and academia will definitely raise trust by making conflicts of interest not only public, but verifiable.
