@TruthFairy131 But I’m betting that many of them would have a better idea on how to handle a charging lion than most westerners would. Some of this is relative.
@saltyreigns I have a driving rule, I let the first 9 people into the traffic and, if someone says ‘thank you’ I start counting 9 again. No thanks in first 9-no more good will 4 the day. One exception, Chinese guy trying to join the traffic & thanking people who ignored him, I let him in.
@SimeonBrownMP@aniobrien The job ad is simply the manifestation of an attitude. Whoever signed off on the ad pre-publication needs to be retrained or cut from the public service. All kiwis have cultural needs but they don’t need to discuss Treaty obligations if they have just been run over by a bus.
@TonyStuart55@aniobrien Years ago friends were ‘captured’ by an election pitch for ‘free’ public transport so I asked who would be paying for it? No one they said, it’s free! So I asked them if that meant that the bus drivers would work without pay. Blank stares. Please reduce tax payer subsidies.
@kaiviti_cam Where do they plan to collect the CASH from this? If through the Post Office, how many extra staff will be needed to deal with the queues? Cash is still legal tender and needs to remain so if we are to avoid the banks controlling our life choices. What is the payment system?
@Suitandtie9999@kaiviti_cam Does she also plan to give tax deductions for capital losses e.g. to people whose properties are affected by climate change, or earthquake or had a diminution in value because stated owned houses have been built next to them?
@NZNationalParty They will get stolen, just like copper spouting gets stolen and school electronic gear gets stolen and plants from school gardens get stolen, and sports equipment, and food from the tuck shop.
@TheZeitgeistNZ Unfortunately, I know some Kiwis who still think she is wonderful. It concerns me that, if we have another round of mandates, people will just fall in line. Should make digital ID a breeze-‘if you don’t carry one of these you will kill Grannie’?
@nzfirst How about fixing the IRD computer system? If they won’t send out a tax booklet to explain their shorthand on how to fill in your tax form they have to expect some issues. The IRD staff are, mostly, very helpful but the on line system should be self explanatory.
@SimeonBrownMP@saltyreigns From what I have heard so far, I think it seems a rather good budget bearing in mind the constraints we have following years of reckless spending. Well done.
