The pipeline of "oh i already know i want to be an artist of some sort when i grow up" ➡️ "oh god this field isn't sustainable i need a less creative job" ➡️ "oh my god im not passionate about literally anything how am i supposed to choose something fulfilling" is so real
All this to say, maybe Jax was the main character all along, and that’s very much okay. I very much enjoyed tadc even if I got lost a couple times along the way
I think what people sometimes forget (speaking in regard to tadc) is that art isn’t always produced to specifically cater to you. sometimes people just make art to tell stories about life or themselves because they want to share it and it’s fun. That’s what art is for.
It’s easy to forget when a lot of the popular movies and shows currently being produced are recreations or retellings of things we find nostalgic, creating expectation for how things are traditionally done
