@longformsnooker My favourite examples are
‘91 Masters final he came from 7-0 and 8-2 down to win 9-8. Never looked like he even considered losing
‘97 LV Charity Challenge final against Ronnie (in top form) Highest quality match I ever watched. 7 centuries in 17 frames and a 147 in the decider.
@fesshole Given that the phrase essentially means “see you at some undefined point in the future”, I would take that as meaning “don’t hold your breath” and you didn’t have the job at any point, but possibly didn’t understand the interview well enough to get that either.
@funnyOnceJokes@neolatyno@grok This morning in the “land of the free”. Prosecuted for saying words + weaponising the justice system against political opponents = basic authoritarianism. You couldn’t pay me to live in that repressive, corrupt, morally bankrupt hellhole.
@SoveyX The point of glasses isn’t to magnify, but reading and long-sighted prescriptions do make the eyes look bigger. Short-sighted glasses like these make the face look smaller.
If you don’t know this you should probably mix with more intelligent people, who are often short-sighted.
@turnintoabat Variation that occurs due to cellular processes going wrong (nondisjunction) is not a range of normal. You are confusing physiology with pathology. The fact that some people are born with anencephaly does not mean “number of brains” is a spectrum.
@DanNeidle If they aren’t paying taxes at the same rate as everyone else, they are already non-resident or similar, so what does it matter if they “leave”.
@jk_rowling “I choose a definition is that makes my definition correct” is a tautology. “I choose a specific definition that allows no specific definitions” is an oxymoron.
Impressive to be wrong in two self-contradictory ways at once.
