Come and take a look at my portfolio! Containing a range of protein structures and viruses. A contact form is available for any requests or just for a chat 🙂 https://t.co/IRBXOsK6jD #sciart#art#microbiology#science
Great to see our latest article with Tim Overton's group is out in JACS! Congratulations Jas, Hannah and the team @UoBbiosciences. https://t.co/ZcN5IIoH6t
For any Mass Spec enthusiasts, I am excited to be presenting my work on nano-DESI imaging of ALS brain and spinal cord tissue at #ASMS2025. We have two other great presentations from @CooperMassSpec@UoBbiosciences covering ADC MS imaging and top-down protein ID using PTCR.
I am happy to say that this week I succesfully passed my viva! It feels very strange to bring the whole 4 years to an end, with just minor corrections to my thesis. Thank you @Jenner_Lab and @mitchell_chem for an enjoyable viva (thankfully with no mention of Mathieu equations)
I am happy to say I am going to be joining @unibirmingham tomorrow as a Research Fellow in Mass Spectrometry, using nanoDESI for native, ambient mass spec imaging. Now just my viva at the end of November to get through🦠3/3
I know I have been very quiet on here for a long time now, but I recently finished 4 years of the most challenging work I have done, culminating in a thesis I am incredibly proud of! Thank you to @nottm_bbsrc_dtp and @ChemistryUoN! 1/3
Earlier in the year I had the brilliant opportunity to spend 3 months working in London with @phospho learning the ins and outs of Houdini, producing several animations and stills! Thank you @jeroen_claus for a great time! 2/3
Organized by Professor Lesley Hoyles (NTU), Padraig Mulcahy (NTU), @kim_hardie (University of Nottingham) and @Leahcuthbertso4 (University of Leicester), with additional support from @MedilinkMids.

@MontolioLara Thank you :), I personally haven't used any specific scientific illustration courses, but I know @bradyajohnston has a Blender for Biochemists series (https://t.co/6841Go9dcr). that might help
Synaptic vesicles are responsible for the transport of neurotransmitters across the synapse between two neurons. This 40 nm vesicle contains 24 individual proteins, identified by Takamori et al. through proteomic analysis. #sciart#sciviz#scicomm#Blender3d
Incredibly excited to finally share this.. We’ve charted the full life cycle of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus with @MaastrichtU. Follow us inside the cell and see exactly what happens during an infection https://t.co/Kj2FO8TN9q
Just realised I never shared my finished Woodpigeon drawing. Here he is in all his subtle blue, pink and grey feathered finery 🐦 what do you think?
Original sold but prints are available in two sizes. He would make a beautiful gift for the big day (🎄) in not too distant future
There it is, folks. The largest solar prominence I’ve ever witnessed. This is what I spent all day yesterday chasing down as it lifted off the solar chromosphere. The resulting CME was launched millions of miles into space.
Great to be a part of #BMSS2022 and present some of my carbene footprinting work on EF-Tu. @rncmlive was a great venue with lots of brilliant science over the last three days!
