Hi darling @ToniKroos
You spent months criticizing Qatar and talking about every possible issue before and during the 2022 World Cup, yet it turned out to be one of the best-organized tournaments in history. Public transportation was free, fans could travel easily between stadiums some fans saw 4 matches in the stadium in same day, and the overall organization was praised by millions of visitors.
Now, when concerns are being raised about visa delays, strict entry procedures, and travel difficulties surrounding tournaments in the United States, we don't hear the same level of criticism from you. There have also been complaints about organizational decisions and match arrangements that many fans consider unnecessary or difficult, yet your voice is nowhere near as loud as it was when Qatar hosted the World Cup.
If your criticism is truly based on principles, then the same standards should apply to everyone. But when Qatar receives endless criticism while similar concerns elsewhere are met with silence, people are naturally going to question whether your issue was really about organization at all.
Fuck you.
Norway said that they are not going to play in World Cup in Qatar even if they qualified (they didnโt). Denmark left it until the last minute to confirm their participation in the World Cup 2022Germany forced their players to make political statements before the match in FIFA WC 2022 even though some players didnโt want to do it.
BBC literally disrupted the coverage of one of the best opening ceremonies of the World Cup in Qatar just for virtue signaling.
but for World Cup 2026, the whole media is silent other than a few token articles here and there and Norway and Germany arenโt protesting anything when thereโs so much to protest about ๐คก
Malaysia wants to become a regional hub for AI & data centres. A data centre can use up to 25.5 million tonnes of water annually. This amount can support 300,000 people every single day.
Nothing can replace our freshwater ecosystems once they are destroyed & drained.
Great edit of the context leading up to the ref blowing up before the corner could be taken.
1. Arsenal run a drill where three players run down the clock on a throw in.
2. Enrique and players already complaining to the ref about first the throw in drill and then the fact that the taking of the corner was already going to go over the 6 minutes of added time.
3. The intentional lack of urgency from Saka is tactical to allow Arsenal to set up perfectly for their corner drill despite him knowing time was tight.
How many times have we witnessed players hurry in such situations, even taking a short corner to get the ball back in play as fast as possible to beat the clock? Hundreds, maybe thousands of times. You've probably done it yourself.
That is the norm in these situations.
Saka is so drilled in their corner routine he was unable to improvise or respond with the urgency the situation demanded.
Fair play to the ref that took balls.
Of course Arsenal fans think the ref was corrupt and had an agenda, this despite them being very happy with him in their quarter a semi-finals which he also reffed. A sequence of one ref working four consecutive fixtures for one team unprecedented in Champions league history.
Maybe that sequence did have an unintended effect, maybe it took that for this ref to suss Arsenal's customary gamesmanship and dark arts. This theory can be further endorsed by him not falling for Madueke's attempt to manufacture a pen by grabbing his opponent's arm and locking it in then dragging him down and behaving like the defender had fouled him.
A technique they have employed all season, all over the pitch, not just in the box.
It is somewhat revealing that the nickname for the FIFA rule changes announced for the world cup is "the Arsenal Rules".
I respect any team winning the Premier League, it's really hard, however you do not get to demand I respect how they did it.
If God asked me which player I wouldโve chosen to miss the penalty that lost Arsenal the Champions League final, it wouldโve been him.

Michael Carrickโs wife shouldnโt have ever apologised for posting what she said about Roy Keane in 2014, because even today itโs spot on โ everything he does and says is for a reaction, pathetic.

When asked if he personally called after he matched his assist record.
"Yes, of course. I sent him a message. I know how difficult it is to reach numbers like that in the Premier League.
To create chances at that level, season after season, especially in difficult moments for your team, deserves respect. Bruno has been doing that for years now.
Congratulations to him"
