Adding my support here to GC and the other former international captains. I hope the court ordered medical assessment be allowed to run its course, and that family visits continue. I hope Imran Khan is treated with the dignity anyone deserves

PAKISTAN: Ahead of the third anniversary of former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s ongoing detention, Isabelle Lassee, Amnesty International’s Acting Regional Director for South Asia, said:
“For three years, Pakistan’s authorities have systematically denied Imran Khan the right to a fair trial, subjected him to prolonged solitary confinement, and limited his access to medical care and visitation rights. He has not been allowed to meet his family for more than eight months and his vision has reportedly deteriorated significantly. Both he and his wife, Bushra Bibi Khan, have now been denied regular access to legal counsel since December 2025."

At least 20 people have been killed in Pakistan-administered Kashmir after security forces fired guns and tear gas at people protesting over regional elections.
Al Jazeera's Kamal Hyder reports.
The killing of protestors in AJK as reported by those on the ground and carried by credible social media handles marks another dark moment in our history, perhaps the darkest in the history of AJK. No credible election was possible in the circumstances of the last few months and yesterday’s events have sadly vindicated PTI’s decision to stay away from the electoral farce in deference to the wishes of the vast majority of the people of AJK. PTI continues to stand with all the oppressed people of our land.
Imagine living in a country where people in Azad Kashmir are suffering yet the media refuses to cover it as if that part of the country doesn't even exist
