The problem isn’t Chapek being a bean counter. The problem is that he thinks those beans are magic and has instituted an automated system to trade cows for them as quickly as possible.

It seems almost impossible that Disney once announced they were going to build a giant theater right behind Main Street USA. Completely bananas. It’s more plausible that they’d announce replacing Stitch’s Great Escape with DVC.

I can only imagine the hot takes if Galactic StarCruiser was themed as a filthy flying hunk of junk because that’s what things looked like in the OT. “Yes it’s still $6k and you need to sign these waivers for hypothermia night. Why are you crying? It’s in the movie!”

I was a CPer in 02 after Lilo & Stitch came out. The in-park character artists explicitly would not draw Stitch, because “If it was offered, it’s all we’d do.” @lentesta & @jimhillmedia reminded me of this on this week’s Disney Dish.

Is it a financial office drama about Walt and Roy trying to get the money? Yuck. Is it a political thriller as Walt locks horns with Burbank and Anaheim? Feels like Titanic without a love story, that.
