Tomorrow we say goodbye to our dear friend Neil Gilson, he has been an inspiration to us all and without him many of the things we have achieved simply wouldn’t have happened.
Neil’s funeral will be held at Carmountside Crem at 1pm followed by a burial at Brown Edge Cemetery

Mark Discombe MBE, one of the most experienced Spitfire pilots in the UK (Rolls-Royce and BBMF pilot), recently tested the Operation Spitfire Cockpit Simulator at the University of Nottingham, where it's been built by Aerospace Engineering students.
We regret to announce that our friend Roland Machin past away this morning.
We will be forever greatful for his work in education, support in the restoration of RW388 and his venture with KMF that led to the Spitfire sculpture in Etruria.
We are proud of all you achieved.
Timely reminder that the new @PotteriesMuseum#Spitfire Gallery, which opens in a few months, has taken a while to get here. But get here we have. Plans afoot by @opspitfire to make it a STEM centre to inspire the next generation of engineers #StokeOnTrent
Well, there’s nothing getting past you lot is there? The frame delivered earlier this week is from a Spitfire Mark IX & is part of the @opspitfire project. The plan is to rivet skin to the frame on one side to depict the makeup of the spitfire & show methods of construction.

Cosford-based @RoyalAirForce aircraft technician, Sgt Dodd, is part of a team from @SoTCityCouncil and the @RAFMUSEUM who have returned an iconic Spitfire to its new purpose-built Stoke home at the @PotteriesMuseum. See https://t.co/cvTcZf6lN8 for more info.
There will be a simulator in the gallery so people can experience flying the plane. One wall will be used to project images about Reginald, who was educated and lived in Stoke-on-Trent before becoming one of the greatest aeronautical engineers of his generation
