@plzbepatient Wait until you find out how taxed based services such as schools firefighters and roads work and how they do not operate on a profit model, almost as if that’s the point of a service…
@JCPolancoNYC@DougMilman128 Yeah this completely missed the plot, not addressing food prices and low income areas. Performative doomerism disguised as political commentary.
@timurkuran A lot of will’s here, text book speculative doomerism disguised as commentary. It’s 5 fucking stores in a city of 11 million people cut the drama and chill out. Jfc this performative anger is so superficial especially when you actually read about the locations they’ll be in.
@SaraEisen My taxes are already feeding these business owners and I’m paying a lot for groceries, might as well pay less at the checkout line for the same items I need. Stop the drama
@Supercell_fren For that to happen AI needs to be public owned, taken away from private investors who’ll just enrich themselves. People are against data centers because the incentive structure is privatized while the costs are socialized. Hope that helps!
@brad_polumbo@HistoryBoomer Subsidizing data centers, paying for more energy prices, for little to no return on local resident so that companies that already essentially own everything can make more of a profit isn’t a left vs right issue, that take is naive if not obtuse.
@ViralNewsNYC Posts like this and it always turns like out be something like “Mamdani not doing enough to stop fires in Canada, socialism failed” 😂
It’s just a parody at this point.
