Let’s be real: Ron Weasley didn't belong in Gryffindor at all, and his entire character arc is driven by pure, insecure Hufflepuff energy. He spent seven years crying about being poor, being constantly overshadowed by his brothers, and playing second fiddle to Harry's global fame instead of actually building his own independent path.

The only reason the Sorting Hat even put him in the red house was solely because of his family's massive legacy. His natural instinct was never raw bravery or ambition, it was a deep, desperate need for comfort, security, and a tight loyalty network. He literally abandoned his best friends in the middle of a massive war tent the second things got slightly difficult and hungry, proving his moral was way too fragile to ever wear that sword.
