Dialogic #teaching – 10 strategies for primary #schools. The dialogic approaches at Highlands Primary improve the quality of talk, encouraging pupils to think deeply, reason, discuss, argue & explain. Dr Kulvarn Atwal – @Thinkingschool2 – explains: https://t.co/evAf3Rtj1A
“Oracy is most definitely not oratory. It’s about enabling young people to deploy a range of speaking & listening skills in different contexts, all of which are more important in an age of robots and AI": my comments in @thetimes today: https://t.co/xPResPbr6y [£]

Very happy indeed that the government will create an oracy framework to ensure all children are fluent, confident speakers and listeners by 11 and an oracy, reading and writing framework + whole school strategy, to develop all three skills in curriculum subjects. @OracyCambridge
We welcome the government’s plan to introduce a national oracy framework – a major step towards giving spoken language its rightful place in education.
We look forward to working with @educationgovuk to support its careful implementation and bring about lasting change.
Just home from talking to leaders in the Hillingdon Learning Partnership about (roll of drums, please) #oracy (of course). And what a day to do so! Huge thanks to everyone who supported our @oracycommission in making a renewed case for oracy education ... https://t.co/mchhXbGv5L
