The thing that attracted me to the club was the conversations I had with the gaffer and some of the players. Their aspirations for the season and the strong community surrounding the club are very important to me.

I’m a tall, strong, and calculated defender who also likes to get on the ball.

My ambition this season is to help Banbury improve on last season and push for the title, or at least secure a place in the playoffs.

Banbury United are delighted to announce the signing of defender Oran Jackson.

A commanding presence at the heart of the defence, Jackson began his career through the Milton Keynes Dons academy and made a first-team appearance in the Championship before forging a strong reputation in senior football.

The 27-year-old centre-back arrives at the Spencer Stadium with a wealth of experience across the English non-league game, having represented clubs including Hemel Hempstead Town, Brackley Town, Billericay Town, St Ives Town, Portadown, Rugby Borough and most recently Stamford AFC. Jackson also enjoyed a spell in Iceland with ÍBV.

Oran will be proudly sponsored by the Barson Boys.

January the lads was at the foot of the table 11 points away from safety but you don't write this group of. This team has battled week in week out, 13 unbeaten at home, big points on the board away from home midweek and on a Saturday, and today it pays off as we secure step 3 football next season.
