@MarkJGolding JLP Government is the worst. Even in the Job market allowing investors to pay Jamaicans below the universal minimum wage. Paying Jamaican the equivalent (5 USD) when other Caribbean countries pay 13 USD and above for the same types of Jobs.

@AndrewHolnessJM Speaking about Private sectors and Jobs. Jamaica is the largest English speaking Caribbean country and country with the most attractive investment area. However, how comes on the scale of salaries other smaller country have a higher wages. BVI, Bahamas, Cayman, etc.?

Almost a year ago I stood in Cross Roads and said: “The people of Jamaica need a better life.

It's even more true today.

We would have delivered in our 1st term:

* 50,000 affordable homes. Land included.

* NHT reformed so it works for the people.

But what have we seen in the last year?

Bulldozers instead of builders. Evictions instead of ownership. No plan. No compassion.

You deserve a government that builds you up, not puts you out.

Jamaicans deserve security, not uncertainty.
Land. A home. Dignity.

That’s still the vision we’re fighting for.

Since @TheNHT development is scarce, and all the other developers have flood the market selling houses for 30 odd million with 5% and 1.4 closing which equal approx. 3mil. Plus monthly pay of 160,000 per month.
How can the regular Jamaican afford these homes?

@TheNHT contributors who apply for benefit, it is now designed that a banking institution will have to provide them with the loan. After the government with withdraw 11.4B annually. Some contributors not even eligible for the benefits.

@TheNHT mission is to improve the quality of life of Jamaicans by facilitating home ownership and community development, particularly among low-income persons. But as it stand the government is allowing open market to develop expensive housing.
