HAVING BAD THOUGHTS DURING RAMADAN?

Your iman isn’t weak just because bad thoughts appear in Ramadan. Not every single shaytan is completely restrained. Many scholars explained that the major devils are chained, while others still move, and our NAFS; our desires and habits, REMAIN ACTIVE.

So when a bad thought comes during Ramadan, it does not automatically mean shaytan is whispering. Sometimes it is simply the echo of what the soul has become accustomed to. In fact, Allah removes some of the external whispers so you can see what is truly inside your own heart.

And this is where the comfort lies: even the Prophets experienced unwanted thoughts. The Prophet ﷺ taught that hating such thoughts is a sign of true faith, because the believer is disturbed by what displeases Allah. If the heart were dead, the thought would not trouble you at all.

Allah, in His mercy, has also promised through the Prophet ﷺ that He has forgiven this Ummah for what crosses their minds, as long as they do not speak of it or act upon it.

May Allah be pleased with us always. Ameen.🥹🤲🏻
