160 former national security, intelligence, and law enforcement officials have signed a letter urging Senate leaders to advance the CLARITY Act.

The group argues that digital asset market structure is a national security and law enforcement priority, saying “regulatory clarity is an enforcement advantage.”

The letter highlights provisions that expand anti-money laundering and sanctions compliance, strengthen coordination between Treasury, DOJ, FBI, and DEA, create a permanent digital asset illicit finance task force, and add new consumer protections for crypto kiosks.

Supporters say clear rules bring more activity under US oversight, improve visibility for investigators, and make it easier to combat fraud, money laundering, sanctions evasion, terrorism financing, and trafficking.

The push comes as industry advocates head to Washington this week for meetings across 18 Senate offices to rally support for the bill.

BTC = BitPower…Zcash is a privacy cloak, and I am a big fan, but it is not in competition with Bitcoin…BTC = One coin to rule them all.

@SamBuntz I don't think this is the case. Rather than seeing it as artificial we shud see it as alien. How would we deal with an alien intelligence who came here? We would assume they want some form of respect that may be alien to us and that living beside them safely wud require this

This post is stupid. Bitcoin transparency is a feature not a flaw. Also, the TAM for Bitcoin is much bigger than simply as a reserve asset held by banks. Bitcoin is digital power projection in and through cyberspace. Think Hashrate…I am a big Zcash fan, the tech is fascinating, but as a CYPH shareholder who wants to see the company succeed, I am not going to stop responding to your posts that make Zcash appear to be in competition with Bitcoin. It is not. @tyler @cameron please reign in this account and have it stay focused on Zcash and how awesome it is 🚀
