@WhiteHouse The reflecting pool is less than 3 feet deep, yet you were in way over your head since before the project even began.
Next time, consider contractors experienced in what you need done.
Hiring friends seldom ends well!!
@WhiteHouse The entire reflecting pool saga reeks of incompetence right from the beginning.
Why wasn't the water properly treated for phosphates while it was out of service?
Why wasn't the finish applied correctly?
Modern industrial coatings DON'T peel off!
@RapidResponse47@POTUS The job should've been done properly the FIRST time!
All the water should've been drained and treated for phosphates, so no algae would have appeared.
The finish should've been applied properly. There's NO way a properly applied industrial coating is so easy to remove. No way!!!
@EricLDaugh I don't care how many times you cut it, a properly applied finish will NOT peel off like that.
The product they used is for repairing industrial tanks and piping. There's no way to pull it off, if it were applied properly.
This is what happens when you hire inexperienced cronies!
@Real_Ames I wouldn't purchase a product that is so easily removed. Yet the US paid $14M for it?
Who's the dumbass that vetted the products and authorized the purchase?
Maybe next time, hire somebody that actually works in the industry, not a crony who got a presidential pardon.
@BarronTNews_ If the finish in the reflecting pool is so easy to remove, then the US was ripped off!!!
Either that, or some corrupt people were getting kickbacks.
Some dumbass did NOT do their homework on this project. Though that does seem to be a theme in this adminitration!
@RapidResponse47@USAttyPirro You'd have to be a blithering fucking idiot to take a case like this to court. You'd have to really love being embarrased in front of the entire nation and the world at large.
It doesn't take a genius to realize that a properly applied finish wouldn't peel up like it is.
@FoxNews@SundayBriefFNC Heading for another major embarrasment for the administration and Pirro.
I hope she decides to rain down holy hell on them?
And once it's demonstrated in court that a properly applied finish will NOT peel like this, there'll be more celebrations.
But again AMERICA is EMBARRASED.
@washingtonpost That should have been done the first time. Not taking short cuts.
They also should have treated the water for phosphates (algae food) before refilling it.
It isn't like the products aren't available.
@InmeRebel@WallStreetApes For 14 milliom dollars, the finish shouldn't peel off. It also shouldn't turn green the first time the put water back into it. That indicates they didn't empty all of the water and treat it.
Algae really isn't that hard to control. Millions of pool owners can attest to that.
@WallStreetApes The finish could NOT have been applied properly if it peels off so easily, or in large pieces.
It doesn't take many brain cells to understand that!!
@GeneMeeting@RepJohnLarson It's a real shame some individuals don't realize the taxpayers are paying those tariffs.
Don't be so stupid! All business expenses will be passed along to the final customer.
You'd have to be willfully ignorant to believe somebody else is going to absorb those costs!
@RepJohnLarson None of the proposals help the lowest income people.
Increasing the federal minimum wage is the only way to do that.
$15.20/hr will lift 50 million out of poverty, increase Payroll FICA revenues, Increase IRS revenues, and reduce the money needed for welfare programs.
@CBSNews However, if it had kept pace with worker productivityโhow much economic value each worker generatesโthe minimum wage would sit between $23.00 and $26.00.
https://t.co/L2c9Cs2pO1
@CBSNews Start by raising the federal minimum wage. Had we kept up with it properly since 1968 (when it had the most purchasing power), today it'd be $15.20/hr.
That would be more money toward SS, MC and IRS revenues.
It'd also reduce the need for social welfare programs.
@EdMarkey If the rich don't want to pay their fair share, take some of it from them. Raise minimum wage to eliminate poverty. Give the entire country a pay raise. That's wealth redistribution.
SS funds will go up
IRS revenues will go up
Reduces money needed for social benefits
Reduces debt
@seanhannity Iran to get $300B in economic development funds.
Jared Kushner and real estate investor Steve Witkoff were the negotiating team.
Rump says the US won't invest in Iran. But word is, the money is coming from US sources.
Hmmmm.
The US went to war so Kushner/Witkoff could make money?
@katrinaxtaylor@LFessenden8403@SamaHoole Thy can also generate their own power. Which the president said they will (if you believe him). But again, they favor higher revenues over higher construction costs.
