“Chelsea FC appreciates the 2025/26 season was a hugely disappointing one for the Club and its supporters. A major contributing factor was the disruption caused as a result of changes that the Club was forced to make to the Head Coach position over the Christmas period”.

“Due to recent developments, we consider that it is important to explain to our supporters what happened and why our former Head Coach left the Club on 1 January 2026”.

“In Autumn last year, the Club was informed by our former Head Coach that there might be an opportunity for him to succeed Pep Guardiola at the end of the season”.

“It became clear to us that it was his strong desire to succeed Guardiola and that he was fully committed to pursuing the opportunity, despite the fact he was under a long-term contract which he had no right to terminate”.

“In December 2025, our Head Coach unexpectedly and abruptly resigned from his position. Obviously, we felt let down as we believed that his head and heart were focused on another club and another opportunity, despite having just arrived at Chelsea the year before”.

However, in light of his decision not to continue fulfilling his responsibilities through to the end of the season, the Club was left with no choice but to protect our players, our supporters, and the Badge and accept his resignation”.

اس سے پہلے ۲۰۱۹ میں ساہیوال کے قریب پنجاب کی انسدادِ دھشت گردی کے محکمے سی ٹی ڈی کے اہلکاروں نے ایک گاڑی پر فائرنگ کر کے ایک سبزی فروش، اسکی اہلیہ، بچی اور ایک جاننے والے کو قتل کر دیا تھا, لاہور کی ہی ایک انسدادِ دھشت گردی کی عدالت نے شک کا فائدہ دیکر پولیس ملزمان کو بری کر دیا تھا۔

سی ٹی ڈی کے سربراہ کو اس گاڑی اور قتل ہونے والی بچی کی تصویر اپنے دفتر میں ایک یاددھانی کے طور پر آویزاں کر دینی چاہئیے تاکہ اپنے زیر حراست اصلی ملزمان کیخلاف بھی جعلی پُلس مقابلے کی منصوبہ کرتے وقت یاد رہے کہ غلطی کے اسی امکان کے باعث ہی مہذب ملکوں میں عدالتیں بنائی جاتی ہیں۔

According to multiple reports, several major private hospitals in cities like Lahore are either not paying postgraduate trainees at all or paying them as little as PKR 40,000 per month, despite explicit CPSP directives against unpaid training. If the reports regarding Atif Memorial Teaching Hospital are accurate, they are deeply concerning and deserve immediate investigation.

What makes this even more troubling is that some of these institutions belong to groups that operate highly profitable hospitals, where patients are charged substantial fees for admission and treatment. The obvious question is: why is action not being taken? Are regulations only enforced for some while others remain untouchable because of influence and connections?

Credit to Dr. Salman Kazmi for consistently using his platform to highlight the struggles of young doctors. Unfortunately, many doctor influencers remain silent on issues that matter most to trainees and junior physicians, while some are themselves accused of underpaying medical officers in their private setups.

Young doctors are the backbone of Pakistan's healthcare system. They work exhausting hours, carry immense responsibility, and deserve fair pay, dignity, and respect, not exploitation.

The relevant authorities, CPSP, PMDC, and health departments must investigate these reports and ensure that every trainee receives the compensation and protections they are entitled to.

This culture of exploitation must end.
