I saw a quote by an artist who I very much respect saying that art was inherently about expression. To be honest, I don't relate to that definition of art at all. For me, art is not a way to express some internal idea or belief. I like making art because I get to learn new things and explore unfamiliar territories, not because I want to create a symbolic representation of a fundamental truth that I believe in.
