@PBBabscbn if this part makes it to national tv, please ensure you fully understand the cultural context behind it. consult bisaya speakers who can verify that this line is not degrading to women and i say this as a bisaya woman myself. this isn't just a fan defending someone in your show but it's about recognizing that regional languages differ, and context always matters, even within the same country. this is exactly why authentic representation matters, especially for minorities in our nation.

just wanna point out na lines like "imong nawng murag liha", "gikulipa sa pito ka yawa", or "lawas murag bitiis sa lamok" are peak bisaya kanto banter. they rely heavily on extreme hyperbole, and honestly, you just can't translate them directly without losing the intent 😭

how do you even explain that environment to people who didn't grow up around it? not defending nathan, but shea concluding right away na he was "comparing women to objects" feels like a cultural disconnect. in a bisaya context, he was literally just roasting the texture/roughness in that typical, exaggerated street banter way in which, fair enough, sounds wild to outside ears.

but the fan reaction is also way too much... like chill lang mo oy, mura namog nahangol sa pbb 😭
