Dear @star_okx, As a dedicated @wallet user, I admire the innovative push towards decentralized finance through OKX DEX and recognize its vital role in the future of Web3.
However, I’ve encountered challenges with the referral system that could be optimized for better user engagement and long-term sustainability.
1. The current mechanism lacks sufficient incentives for referrers, leading to unintended behaviors like private kickbacks to compete for users, it has fostered mutual reporting among KOLs and uncertainty, as rules weren’t clearly outlined upfront. Like centralized exchange systems, private kickbacks in a decentralized system shouldn’t be addressed through reporting but by rethinking the referral system itself.
The current setup suggests the system’s designers may not fully grasp human nature or market dynamics, leading to distrust and inefficiency.
I strongly suggest bringing back the centralized exchange’s expert team specializing in referrals to overhaul this, it can provide more reasonable returns for those who truly support OKX, especially those teams that can achieve long-term growth with OKX DEX and have demonstrated their value.ensuring a solid foundation to prevent broader butterfly effects.
P.S. I am also have few bad feeling for the DEX BD team, but i think this is only beacsue they are rush to push the trading volume, i can understand the BD team may just work "TOO" hard.
2. BUT... Practically, while i eager to promote OKX DEX, I ran out of the limited 20 referral codes. Requesting more requires waiting for development updates (dont know when), or create another okx wallet.
My recent experience shows that activating a new okx wallet account for referrals takes two days, with the system often assigning incorrect tiers, requiring an additional day to fix, if the issues Over weekends, oh... I’m told to wait until next Monday at 5 PM.
These delays, which I am frustrating for a cutting-edge Web3 product. It drive me to think what if server issues arise during off-hours? wait next monday?
My goal is simply to invite more users to experience OKX DEX and bring a WIN WIN WIN situation to everyone.
---- At the end, even we are despite these challenges, we continue investing time and resources into OKX DEX’s growth because we deeply admire the strong product capabilities and Branding demonstrated by OKX under your leadership. However, the past two weeks’ experience has been genuinely disappointing. While many stay silent due to ongoing incentives, I hope my feedback can be encourages optimization for OKX DEX.
