Capitalism didn't bail out the banks in 2008. Politicians did.
Calling government intervention "capitalism" is like calling a state-owned factory "the free market."
If failure had been allowed, the banks would've paid the price. Instead politicians socialized the losses and sent the bill to taxpayers.
The bailout wasn't a failure of capitalism. It was a failure to allow capitalism.

Until you find me a senator that can be considered .5 of a person, the majority of 23 is 13.

@DirgniML483966 The state actually benefits more in the long run economically. It is actually better if soldiers die on the battlefield instead of reaching retirement. I know how counterintuitive this may sound but that's economics for you. Soldiers being dead is actually great! ๐
@DirgniML483966 3. Less expenses from healthcare costs when they become veterans
4. A dead soldier requires no further maintenance, medical assistance and transport. This means remaining soldiers are taken care off more.
While a soldiers death is a sunk cost and causes losses in the short term
@DirgniML483966 Did you know how much corruption AFP gets involved in? Also soldiers dying are good for long term economically because of reduced liabilities
1. Less taxes spent on a soldier salary
2. Less compounding on payouts from pensions
@DirgniML483966 Think about it, this is actually an indication of our taxes being used for good. Dead soldiers fulfill their duty because they are paid to do so anyway. Additionally, dead soldiers are actually beneficial as they lessen chances of our taxes being stolen further.
@DirgniML483966 Calling someone to go to mountains to rebel? Is this a call for terrorism? Soldiers are paid by taxes. Their lives are compensated already, plus they're already prepared to die lol
@Sir_WheatBread Yes indeed, Aguinaldo thought of the US as an ally and protector. Blue and red were patterned from the US flag, although, the white triangle, iirc, corresponds to Katipunan ๐
