Kindergartners recreating “Going On a Bear Hunt” part 2. They decided the percussion for each landscape! @CrosbyElementaryD50 #musiced#CrosBees#HarvardRising
@RepMaryMiller This is nuts. Many countries speak, read, and write in more than one language. We live in a global society. Come join us in this society and modern age!
We are protecting our equipment and opening up so many more possibilities for music making! I’m elated! Thank you HCEF! #musiced#CrosBees#HarvardRising
@CrosbyElemD50 When you worked hard, all week, reading melody off of a 5 line staff, with a folk song, AND discussing influential Black individuals…you gotta let loose a bit! #CrosBees#HarvardRising#musiced
What a fun experience sharing with IL music teachers how our K-3 musicians create music & movement in Harvard, IL! #HarvardRising#musiceducation#orff
@christopherrufo Think about how you read a text message. Sometimes the rise and fall with vocal inflection matters. Consider this regarding a hard of hearing person when there is text AND an ASL interpreter for them to watch. Vocal/visual inflection is important. Food for thought.
@CrosbyElemD50 What a fun way to examine form through movement with March from the Nutcracker! The next level is calling 2 colors at once to change places. Thanks @BowTieMusic1! #HarvardRising#musiced
It took a day to absorb the AMAZING interpretation of “Toy Meets Snow” performed by @CrosbyElemD50 3rd graders.
THEY created this performance! Lyrics, cues, percussion, etc: it was ALL THEM! I’m SO proud of our movers and musicians! #Orff#musiced#HarvardRising
@CrosbyElemD50 a snippet of 3rd grade’s interpretation of the book “Toy Meets Snow.” We picked the book, one folk song, and this melody. The kids took charge of everything else. We are SO PROUD of these movers and musicians! 😍 #HarvardRising#musiced#musiceducation
