“Our community members gathered to honor the victims of the 1988 massacre of political prisoners and to warn the world: we must not allow history to repeat itself.

Thousands were executed in 1988, many for their political beliefs. Today, political prisoners in Iran once again face execution, while the “No to Executions Tuesdays” campaign has reached its 134th consecutive week.

The international community must make an immediate halt to executions and the protection of political prisoners a central condition of any ceasefire or diplomatic agreement with Tehran.

We will not be silent. We will not forget the victims. And we will not allow the regime to turn execution into a weapon against the people of Iran.
